You realize you are at an age when you don't know the meanings of the current cool words or expressions-just trying to keep track of them all is like trying to run but not as fast as when you were a child.
And you can be fine with not knowing all those words. And realize what your parents probably experienced when you lost patience at their lack of hipness when you shared the cools words of your adolescence.

In sum, I kind of understand why the generation behind me has their own vocabulary. Sometimes, we all have to have our own things. It's ok that I'm not with it-just aware of it more and more.
