I'd really like to see more organization on the DEALS & FLYERS FORUM http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/canadia...-deals-flyers/.

Some days I feel as though I'm looking for a needle in a haystack. I'm just looking for unique deals on groceries. I'm glad that GROUP SITE DEALS (groupon, one spout, webpiggy etc.) received their own Sticky. It would be further helpful if CONSUMER GOODS DEALS (Sears, The Bay, Toys"R"Us. Bath&BodyWorks, LaSenza, Aldo, BestBuy, Abercrombie & Fitch, Pier One, Future Shop etc.) were removed from the Normal Threads and received their own Sticky as well. Alternatively, a Sticky for GROCERY DEALS could separate grocery deals on crackers, laundry detergent, tomato sauce and anti perspirant from consumer goods deals on clothing, telephones, shoes and patio furniture.

Certainly I'm not alone in wanting this? Thoughts?

When clicking on a spammer's post to report it, it goes directly to "Reply to Thread" - happened a few times to me this morning.

The other time it happened to me, I don't think it was a spammer, I think it was in contests, but I can't find it now...

This is happening again but not with a spammer.
Under coupons, if I click on any of the posts from Bayer Health Care - there are multiples, I get the quick reply page

Ah, the only one that works normally is the Ozonol page. Wonder what the difference is? the 'new' tab is all I see which is different in the posting

I saw the link to "post reply" from the movie spammer this am and also yesterday.

They both got removed before I could link the threads here.

Hmmm the problem is that those are moderated posts, which you should not be able to see, but when I log out, I don't see the extra spam so not sure why you can see random posts that are moderated

Will have FE look into it next time I talk to him

Also the report bot is posting to http://deals.smartcanucks.ca/ (i.e., if anyone reports a post it is visible in this feed)

I'm aware. I pushed it to Boo as that isn't my department and I haven't looked at what powers that. I am working on something that once it's working and all, it'll provide a much better SC experience for all as I know their are a few plaguing issues that need to be addressed still.

Regarding the last few replies, what's the problem here? I don't seem to understand.

when you open the thread, it doesn't show the OP but goes to the quick reply box instead. Which means we can't expire them in those forums.

Some of the threads/posts of the spammer don't always show but looking at posted threads by time I've noticed that it is generally the 5th post the spammer made. The earlier 4 and any later posts do appear as a normal style of thread.

Any updates on the issue with getting blank emails from Smart Canucks? I'm still getting 3 - 5 blank emails a day.

I did not, but report them and we will ban them (we can't delete your messages for you, so delete them after reporting)

My rep icons have been "stuck" for over two months...Last time it happened I was upgrading to a heart, which is not the case right now. Don't know what's going on because I am still getting notification of new reps.

Is there a way of expiring or locking contest threads?

this one was necro-manced by a newbie trying to get thier 5 posts before adding a link. It seems a shame when there were plenty of other in-date voting request threads running which the newbie poster could have contributed to.

Threads will get automatically expired if they set expiry date while posting the thread, not many will remember to set expiry date on threads it seems
