    Thanks for sharing!

ON another note I was viewing Frugal February Chatter and bursted out laughing about your husband "CHILI", have a look and what I wrote, I'm still laughing & smiling several minutes later, makes me think of my dad and how he cooks.

It`s not the expense that keeps me from getting my hair cut. It`s pure laziness. I only pay $10 for shampoo, cut, blow dry and curling. There are some advantages to rural living.

I am guilty of being more lazy than the expense, I just don't really care about my hair as I stay home, and I am also rural!

I think it's an ego stroker (lol), my dad sounds exactly like your husband, single man's cookbook I think my dad & your husband should write the up-to-date version.

If you want to get a rebate with bell call and ask for their loyalty department, they are the ones that an offer the discounts. Read your bill if you have any "weird" charges they can waive them, like the $2 paper bill charge or one of the girls I work with was being charge $3 for being in a rural area and they gave her a whole list of reasons for this and she got it dropped.

For a meaty version I would just use ground chicken or pork with that

Sometimes I will make the roast pork that you get at the buffet that is red on the outside: just marinade pork in soy sauce, sugar, touch of 5 spice powder (1/4 tsp or less) and touch of red colour (optional) and roast then slice

I have different way of making spring rolls, for the meaty ones, 1 lb of ground pork or chicken, 1/2 cup of sweet chili sauce ( you can buy it from chinese or asian store) minced 1 carrot, sometimes when I get lazy I just grate it , minced ginger, season it with salt and pepper then deep fry.
Another recipe that I used from asian/chinese store a lumpia shanghia mix ( filipino mix), ground pork, minced carrot, minced garlic then deep fry.

    edit:
    veggie version:
minced garlic, chopped onions, julienne carrots, cabbage, green beans, ground pork, salt and pepper or a little bit of soya sauce just saute a bit veggies must be a bit crunchy, not soggy.

another veggie version; same ingredients above just add steamed bean noodles and you have the stuffing for your spring roll.

sauce: we make back home and even here is white vinegar ( only vinegar we have available back home that we can afford but you can use apple cider vinegar ) little bit of soya sauce and crushed garlic, the garlic opens up your appetite even more.

    hope it works for you..
