So the ADVIL NIGHTIME was on for 3.00 right, what a great deal if you had a 3.00 means free and 1.00 if the ADVIL website print-out. I was able to get 1 the other night. They were re-stocking yesterday evening. Well THIS MORNING, while my husband was shopping at the BASELINE LOCATION someone was purchasing 30 with coupons. 30....is that right? I think that is excessive what do you say? 30. What is appropriate? Is this ruining couponing? Is this type of couponing ruining our limits? Our reputation. I know I haven't been at it for long but 30?
I'm looking forward to your opinions. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Fri, Mar 8th, 2013, 01:22 PM #2I do think reasonable limits should be in place. Folks like me, who have to drive long distances to the metropolis to shop get rather annoyed when all the promoted items are sold out.I know I haven't been at it for long but 30?
The Co-op nearby already knows when Chunky Beef Soup is on sale, I buy lots and the friendly manager already ordered enough to meet my needs.

i guess it depends on how many are in a box. if there are only like 10-15 one box may not last a month. so if you need at least 2 a month thats 24. and if two people in a househouse are using it or more. then easily 30 is normal. esp. if your a person who can't sleep without them due to severe pain etc. however if theres like alot in a box. well..

I stock up on certain things, especially when I can get them for free! I use the advil nighttime on occasion, and I use it when I'm sleeping somewhere other than in my own bed (I have a really hard time falling asleep when I'm not at home!) so I stocked up on them over the past few weeks.
When the $1wub4 Campbells soup coupon was out last year and the soup went on sale for 2/$1 I bought cases of them, because we go through soup like you wouldn't believe!! I think that if it's something you use, go for it!
This does remind me of a story (not sure if it was on here or somewhere else!) of a person who bought tons of zantac and then dumped them in the garbage on the way out the door
THAT'S not right at all.

Yeah but 30??? DH said they were all copies and some of us have a raincheck and weare all waiting for some. The other night I went to the new store on Terry Fox and they had 26 boxes that's all they were getting for a while. Is that really fair? Come on 30??? In one trip...when limitations are being discussed and WM is the only store on our side right now. Like Vesper replied, order in advance ...I just think that it is not good couponer practice and what if a regular consumer can only afford right now the 10 pack and takes the bus...It just sparked a rocketfrom under me when DH came back and said that. If I weren't a couponer I think that it would have set me off even more hating couponers for hogging in general. That's how we get the reputation. Now being inconsiderate and hogging... I was born in the wrong generation I think when our parents seemed to be fair and unselfish and I believe we should act the same manner, just common humanity and then unfairness happens and I just disapoints me that we are all the same yet so very different. I try to be objective and open-minded and yet my base still outways trying to catch-up with our differences. Sometimes really sucks to be me. DH says how have you lasted so long on this earth seeing through rose-colored glasses? As I look at his in my tubby physique, wrinkled face and disapointed look and a heavy heart I reply ...wine helps.
Sorry for ranting - I should have just kept it to myself..I wanted to get other friends opinions and I thank everyone responding. We all have our reasons...Have a wonderful weekend everyone. My wine apointment awaits...I believe there is a chocolate bar and a bag of chips apt. as well around this calendar time.

I guess I should have clarified in my post... I NEVER clear shelves, and I always make sure I leave plenty for everyone else. When I bought the cases of soup there were skids of them left.
And copies of coupons? That is freaking disgusting

I think that 30 in one trip with coupons is a bit excessive, but since we do not know the family dynamic of this person, we have no idea. When I have my lower back pain, I can eat through a box of those Advil nighttimes in 3 days and I have had bad back spells for 3 weeks so that is 7 boxes there....plus avoiding repeated trips to Walmart and risking they are out stock....
Love like crazy everyday and smile.

I don't think you should ever clear a shelf.
That being said, when there is plenty of the product I would buy 30 if it was something I used regularly. These packs come with 10 capsules. Buying 30 of these would be the same as buying 7 packs of 40s and 1 pack of 20s. If this is something that you or other family member rely on, then I don't think it should be judged.......SEARCH USING SWAGBUCKS!.....

If someone is buying 30, the odds are pretty good that they are purchasing the amount for the overage not for the need of the product.Yes some people may use them regularly but 30 is excessive and stores need to get a grip on setting limits. If coupons didn't exist for this product that provided overage the shelves would always be full.

why does the store need to limit our Quantities?
I think it's just general "good couponing ethics" to limit our own quantities and not clear shelves so that others can get the same deal. How is that one persons needs any greater than the OP's?
I came across the Tena sample packs and didn't take every last one of them. I took one...and left about 10 there. If i go back later this week and there's still some there I'll grab one, if someones taken the lot I'll send my coupon to one of my buddies that I know actually uses that product, and doesn't purchase them just for an overage.
share the wealth of coupon deals!
NOTE: this is all JMO....and i am sticking to it!
