So my ds is absolutely obsessed with hot wheels aand has already accumulated quite the collection. I have been carrying around a handful of. The new $5 off $10 or more on Hot Wheels coupons just in case I stumbled on a good deal. I was about to head to the cash but decided to check the Hot Wheels in hopes of them being $1. But what I found was even better!!!
24x Hot Wheels Cars;; reg $1.37 each on sale for $.87 used two of the $5 coupons
Then I used a $5 GC that I got in a trade and brought my OP to a spectacular $8.38!!!!
The regular price of all these cars after taxes would have been $37 and change!!!
Now DS has a collection of 76 cars. I still have 4 coupons left to Grab some more, but now it'd going to be hard to not buy multiples of what he already has. LOL.

Great deal! My just-turned four-year-old has hundreds of these things -- and he knows each and every one -- and can name the car manufacturer of each! Lexus, Mitsubishi, GMC, Honda, Toyota, Chevrolet, Ford, Nissan, BMW, Acura. He says that when he grows up, he wants to buy a Kia!

Great deal shmeelady! You made your DS a happy little boy with so many toys. Those $5 coupons are very nice and when the price is right they bring your OOP very low. Love this deal. Thank you for posting.

Awesome!
My son was the same way, obsessed with Hot Wheels as a little one, then honestly right to high school, where guys start looking for very specific ones - ever notice the teenage guys hanging around the car aisle?
I know WAY too much about cars - all the types, and the innards, lol!
Just so you know what it might turn into - my son is now a second year mechanic - his obsession has turned into good, and a career!

awesome score! Where did you get those coupons? I got about 20 cars last month for my 2 year olds birthday, and would love to grab him some more. He is car crazy, and can name each one make and model (and mom has to call them buy the proper name too) never thought Lamborghini aventador would be in his vocab at 2! I was happy to spend the 1.37 on each but .87 plus coupons is a steal! WTG!

If its not too late try and jot down the names on the side of the packaging + the colour of the vehicle (just to make double sure) that way you can bring the list with you and you know what he already has! No buying doubles

Don't worry, Purple Bunny -- parents get very familiar with which ones the kids have -- stepping on them and cleaning them up every night makes you recognize them all!
