So, I was doing a typical walk-around to look for coupons and to spot any deals or clearance finds, and it turned out to be a great day!!

SDM had the Garnier Nutrisse Mousse colour boxes clearance priced at $3.00, and like a good SCer, I had my coupons with me! Hair dye for $1.00 a box with the $2.00 coupon!!! Now, I won't use any, but they'll be so perfect for my donation box to the woman's shelter! I bought 7 boxes (because I didn't have anymore coupons), and it came to $9.93 with tax! The cashier kept looking at the coupon and looking at me (I have very dark hair and I bought all blonde shades hahaha) like I was stealing! And it was a steal

Then I went to Metro and used 4 $2.00 Sweet Baby Rays coupons, and once again the cashier questioned the coupon because she never saw those ones. She kept flipping it over (maybe she thought it was photocopied?), so now I have some free BBQ sauce!!! I'm sure they'll be tons of people posting those deals! But then as I left Metro, I spied a clearance section!! Woot Woot! Here's what I found:

Pantene Pro-V hairspray and mousse (assorted ones) for $1.25 (used my BOGO on 2 mousses) $0.63 each! Yay!
Herbal Essence shampoo for $0.75 a bottle and conditioner for $1.46 a bottle! They wouldn't let me use my $3.50 wub 2 coupon though (same cashier....she told me "Why don't you go buy a regular price product then you can use your coupon...!!!!...ummmm no...that defeats the purpose of free!!!). I'll go back tomorrow and try again...I even told them to just use it for the price of the product and they said no. When I go back, I'll use the $0.50 coupon as well. I go through more conditioner than I do shampoo.

John Frieda Brilliant Blonde and Frizz Ease assorted products -- $3.00 a bottle (great deal, but I didn't have coupons and don't use those products)

Gillette Pro-Series cooling balm (hubby loves that) for $1.99 after the $1.00 coupon! Score again!

So, best deal was the hair dye for donation. If any of you are interested in getting some and are in the Ajax area, it is the SDM on Westney Rd close to Taunton Rd (where the No Frills is)...they had about 15 more in various colours and they also had the cream variety....all for $3.00 Oh, and they had John Frieda Precision Mousse ones for $3.00 as well!

Thanks for reading and happy shopping!

^^ Really??? This is the first time I went to Metro and found clearance....I should keep my eyes open more. This was not my usual store, but I might have to go there more often!

i might have been at the same metro as you! I very rarely shop there but was in the area and was looking for the bbq sauce- anyhoo the manager guy said they were clearing out their pharmacy section so a lot of stuff was on clearance! I think i saw some herbal hessences and other shampoos too but i ended up buying a bunch of venus w/olay and venus breeze? (i think) nice razors. Reg price apparently 15.49 but marked down to 3.49 and 3.88- i used the brandsaver $2 off coupons for venus razors and although not free or anything a great price! With the nicer weather we will be stocked up for razors for a while! This was salem rd in ajax location- Just a tip to anyone heading there, the staff was starting to swarm around the area with their arms full of cheap stuff so head over there fast!

And OP- great deals you got! Way to go!!

Paula -- yup, same Metro! awesome deals you got! I didn't see any razors when I was there around 8:30 am. I'll try tomorrow, but they'll probably be gone.

Good deals, but I'd check with your shelter if I were you, I found a butt load on clearance just after Xmas, bought them all ( paid next to nothing after coupons ) and had about 20..... called the women's shelter, they cant accept hair dye

Thanks for the tip. My mom works there, so I knew they accepted them. It's a shelter and then separate interim housing until they get back on their feet.

Too bad you couldn't donate them! Did they tell you why?

the only thing they said was "we can't accept hair dye, it just causes a world of problems" so maybe it's because of mess, or maybe allergies?? Those are the things that came to my mind. But maybe since the one you are donating to has a housing part too it would be different nice of you to think of others
