I suppose I could like clean the kitchen or something ha ha ha!!
I started watching Defiance a couple times and then stopped. I kept forgetting to tape it. I've never seen Warehouse 13 but keep wanting to check it out. I'm guessing its good?

A few years back I had this happen to me too. Sucks that all your hard work of choosing the right gifts ect. won't be acknowledged but we all know you did an amazing job.

apparently neither did I ...I took it as a sign that the jug was never opened even though I had the hose attached to it so no pesticides on my tomatoes....I don't have slugs either though...

Hmmm.... I think I might take out all my gifts tomorrow and arrange them under the coffee table. My table has the open slots underneath so it will look pretty. I'm happy its almost time to open the prezzies but sad that July is passing by so fast. It feels like just a few days ago we were buying stuff for our buddies and mailing them out!

Mine prezzie's are all still in the box in the back of the hall closet.....I don't dare take them out until I get to start opening them. I am worse then a kid at Christmas, I can't leave them alone and it would take to much will power to not play quess what it is!!! My wonderful kids have already told me that they will bring out the right present everyday for me to open because they are sure I would try to open them all

It is great that everyone wanted to help, but since the person assured us she had sent, we wanted to wait to give her the benefit of the doubt then Pammie worked fast to get the gift out in time for opening day when the guestimated delivery date passed.

What does everyone have planned for the weekend?

I'm picking up my son tomorrow morning and then helping a new consultant on my Epicure team with her business launch party and I think Sunday will be nothing but relaxing with the boys, maybe head to a beach with the dogs and chill What about you?

    Good morning

I'm still stunned by all of your kindness and generosity. Lauryn literally squealed when she saw all the goodies. I think every gift for the kids has now been shook and sniffed LOL

As for weekend plans- tomorrow we are having a wake, so will have a house full of company. DH is working, so I am on my own to set up and clean up Sunday DH is off work, so I think we are going to head into town and take the kids to the park and to feed the ducks.

Norma - I'm so sad that you were sad yesterday. I think you are an awesome person and I too am very sensitive to other's feelings and I'm sorry you felt left out. I am also a newbie to these package trains and I also enjoy reading about everyone's day and trials and tribulations. I too feel somewhat "overlooked" at times when I post up random chatter. I realize not everyone wants to comment on everything, so I try not to let it get to me. I did post up a question one day in this thread about something eating my tomato plants and my swiss chard in my garden and wanted advice since it looks like there are a few green thumbs riding. No one responded. Not ONE response.

CLB - I am soo happy you received a package. I am appalled that your buddy didn't send one. Had I known I would have pitched in to contribute to your package too.

K8's Fate - Not sure what I missed, sorry you were sad yesterday - hope you feel better hun.

Dlee - Hope you are doing better today

MeShell - Congrats on your little bundle of joy! Can't wait to see pictures.

Armygirl - I am heartbroken for what you are going through. If these "people" truly cared, they would be so happy you are well enough to go out and get some fresh air and spend time with your family. I am at a loss...
Sometimes I find I read through too quickly (or when I'm half asleep! ) and miss questions. Or if I don't have an answer I just don't post a response. I'm no help on the plant eating pests though. I love/hate my plants. I am constantly battling those white fuzzy things that eat orchids. Theyve moved to my other plants now. I'm really upset by it. Hey killed an orchid that I've had for years and years

there are a few "open now" gifts for the girls (the ones wothout labels on them) but that may not help since I read the package after and thr labels I used were "removable" . Facepalm. I think there are 2 or 3 little open nows for the girls.

My labels must have said chewable, I found the cutest farm ones, so got cows for cowgirl's gift (makes sense right?). A certain cat disagreed with me, he thinks they make good stuffing for his bed, they are under the cushion all chewed up. The kitten had already ripped through the wrapping paper so I gave up, they are in tissue paper and i wrote on them in pen.

Not that it sounds like cowgirl will notice, since they will be unwrapped so quickly LOL

I really liked Defiance and am glad it's been renewed, always happens to me that I finally find a good show and it gets cancelled after one season! Warehouse 13 is kind of cool, but there is only the season finale then next season will only be 6 episodes, I'm glad they will wrap things up though. I like sci fi/fantasy types shows, which always seem to get cancelled!

We are going to my sister's tomorrow for a bit to swim, which means I have to hope my bathingsuit fits lol. And we'll probably go to the park as well. The weather is supposed to be nice. Might also set up our little pool in the back, I blew the darn thing up so we are going to use it!

No help with gardens. I am still hurting from what I think was a stinging nettle I "picked" from the garden... my swiss chard is also eaten and my tomatoes and not doing nearly as well as last year. I think they get shade from the big tree next door. They have some green tomatoes on them though. For tomatoes, my mom said to put toothpicks around the base of them, like half in the soil and half above, to help stop cut worms. Of course I forgot but so far so good. My lettuce is doing well, the one thing I planted that we only like a little bit lol, and the carrots which I think I should have thinned a bit, and are still too small to eat.

Happy Friday everyone! Thank goodness it's here.
