Wow, I'm not sure how to take your post. What makes you think that "people buying tons just because they end up being free" aren't going to use the veggies? Canned veggies have quite a long shelf life. I mean I couldn't pass up on that deal.....Free is Free. I only purchased 10 but actually now regret I didn't purchase more.
"people will justify buying tons by saying they're going to donate them"...I don't think that's a fair comment to make. You have no clue what people are doing with their purchases. If someone on here posts that they are going to donate them, I believe them 100%.
I hope you find some soon.

This was not directed at anyone on this site, nor at the people who are legimately buying what they will use or buying them to donate to shelters/food banks etc.
However as with any deal that makes something free, people will abuse it(flats of these were posted on Kijiji yesterday but I'm assuming Kijiji removed them as they aren't on there anymore), there are posts floating around with people bragging about buying cartfuls of these because they can and will figure out what to do with them later, or people unwrapping skids and grabbing boxes of them without even knowing what they are buying(as I witnessed yesterday). THAT was what my rant was directed at(and that I really wanted peas and paid Shoppers' over inflauted prices for them).

I am so tempted to knock on my neighbors door and tell him to shut up and stop yelling at the puppy. They aren't home from 8am to 5pm and put in a crate - and then he comes home and the dog is so happy the dog pees on the floor or jumps. If it happens tomorrow calling the rental people and spca because he is hitting the dog.
My heart breaks for the puppy

Dear Crankypants,
If you are going to make snarky remarks towards someone, please take the time to do a little fact checking. And life is waaaay too short to be so negative. Perhaps a few happy pills are in order?

people like this should not have dogs.. if you cannot be there to train your dog, take it out and give it what it needs you just shouldn't have it... dogs shouldn't be in a crate for 9 hours a day especially a puppy (and probably go back into the crate in the night)

Hahahahaha I'm sorry but I had to laugh!
This reminds me of the time I decided to cook butter chicken for my family for the first time. Anyone who knows me well knows I'm a disaster in the kitchen. So anyway, I'm cooking the chicken and everything is going really well until I pick up the jar of butter chicken sauce to give it a good shake. I had forgotten that I opened the jar earlier and didn't screw the lid back on. So here I am shaking the jar with butter chicken sauce flying everywhere all over my kitchen....on my cupboards, walls, ceiling, counters, the floor, all over the microwave and fridge...and if that wasn't enough, I got a good amount in my hair dripping down my neck and on my shirt. I was literally stood there just bathing in the stuff. Did I mention that I had JUST showered and was due to be at work in 30 minutes?? Then my brother walks in and sees me standing there looking sooooooo pisssssssssed off and he just about died laughing. Oh I was SO MAD! And it was such a b*tch to clean up the mess. But now I look back at it and laugh...and I always, always, always check that the jar lids are screwed on tight now before I give them a good shake.Last edited by salady; Tue, Mar 3rd, 2015 at 11:33 PM.
