Hate it when that happens. At least you can use the computer DVD drive and watch TV shows on the internet, with the TV websites

I don't have a DVD drive because I have a netbook. I usually watch shows online anyway but I really wanted to stream my soccer match on my big TV and not my little netbook screen and I guess that means no Muppets for me tonight.

Apparently DH left our front door unlocked last night after we came home from dinner (that's another rant). We got the kids ready and put them to bed. About an hour later we walked in to find a note on our dining room table from DH's mother! Apparently she let herself in and when she realized we were busy decided to walk up the stairs, through our living room and into our dining room to leave a note.

I value my privacy so this is just creepy. I mean seriously! How do you just walk around someone else's house? And not even announce yourself? We might not hear a quiet knock at the door but we would have heard someone calling -- especially from INSIDE the house!

Home from camping. Friday, nice weather...busy packing and unpacking and setting up stuff, so no swimming or beach. Saturday, amazing weather......tanned and swam all day. Sunday, rain. Monday rain. Boooooooo!!!!!!!

Oh and let us not forget how my camp was a hang out for every kid in the park under 10 and they ate all the fruit I bought, how random people used my site as a walk through.....right in front of my face.

AND the best one yet, the woman in the site beside me walking out if her camper with a tshirt on, and nothing else.....and it was a short shirt, so I had the PLEASURE (sarcasm!) of seeing her hairy you know what!

LOL.. Literally the only time I ever had hair was when I was pregnant. Try landscaping when you can't even see your toes. That's a rant and a Hal that one lol.

LOL. Until I was like 7 months I was able to use a leg up on the counter and my bathroom mirror. After that I lost my balance and nearly killed myself, so that was the end of that one. Hahaha.

I am also a teacher and see term teachers getting screwed and not offered permanent positions all the time I don't knof if you are early or senior years but I know in senior it so hard. (P.s. there are some new postings on the websites today-just looked )

I spent 5 years of my life getting my education degree. All I've wanted to do since I was 5 was teach. It's my passion, the one thing in life I KNOW I'm good at.. but because there's a mass surplus of teachers right now I haven't been able to get even a term position in the 7 years since graduating university. I've taken "lesser" jobs in schools, like educational assistant and tutoring to try to bolster my resume and help me get a job. I've applied for every posting in the province in the last 7 years, with no luck. There's just too many teachers out there looking for work.
Enter my cousin who was educated in the US, didn't even learn Canadian curriculum let alone Manitoba, decided to become a teacher on a whim because criminology was "too hard", is about 4 years younger than I am... and got her first classroom position yesterday. She gets to be a "real" teacher before I do, and she doesn't have 1/10th the passion and drive I do... let alone the training. But because she knows someone in the business, she gets a job before me.
I'm po'd and depressed. I'm ready to give up.. I don't think I'll ever get a classroom now. I HATE how nepotistic the education sector is!
