I spent 5 years of my life getting my education degree. All I've wanted to do since I was 5 was teach. It's my passion, the one thing in life I KNOW I'm good at.. but because there's a mass surplus of teachers right now I haven't been able to get even a term position in the 7 years since graduating university. I've taken "lesser" jobs in schools, like educational assistant and tutoring to try to bolster my resume and help me get a job. I've applied for every posting in the province in the last 7 years, with no luck. There's just too many teachers out there looking for work.
Enter my cousin who was educated in the US, didn't even learn Canadian curriculum let alone Manitoba, decided to become a teacher on a whim because criminology was "too hard", is about 4 years younger than I am... and got her first classroom position yesterday. She gets to be a "real" teacher before I do, and she doesn't have 1/10th the passion and drive I do... let alone the training. But because she knows someone in the business, she gets a job before me.
I'm po'd and depressed. I'm ready to give up.. I don't think I'll ever get a classroom now. I HATE how nepotistic the education sector is!

YESSSSS!!!
Not to mention the gigantic keyboard.. i got so used to my old one and it fit me perfectly.. i'm gonna have to stretch my fingers on this one... there are also hot keys that activate something or other and every time i hit one i have to go find my cursor, close the new window that pops up and go back to what i was doing... also the touch pad is way too sensitive when it comes to opening the sidebar.. GAAAHHHHH!!! i could go on and on...
