Slang and street lingo change faster than the blink of an eye! But there are some words and phrases that have just seemed to stick around.
What is one word or phrase that should be removed from everyone's vocabulary?
...removed out right or in particular situations or contexts?

The overuse of the word "like"

I've heard people talking and counted at least 20 "like" in the same sentence.

It bothers me SO much that this has happened!

    I'm literally speechless! Gah!

An infuriating misuse of language has been admitted by the Oxford English Dictionary.

They've added the colloquial use as an additional definition - of the word literally, when not used figuratively or as a metaphor.

    Great article here about it:

Sometimes you can hear all in 1 conversation:

    Girl: Literally....like...you know?
Boy: I know! like....this girl should of done this...like...you know?

should of, would of, could of
instead of should have, would have, could have

Really too many to list, but several more:

    no worries
no problem (especially when someone is thanked, and this is used instead of 'you're welcome')

it's all good (uh, not usually, no it's not....)
    whatever
sick - as in "Dude, that's sick!"

you know what I mean - well, like, you know what I mean - NO, that's what you are supposed to be answering/explaining!

I like words, so constantly changing expressions and meanings don't bother me. I also don't care if someone uses improper grammar or makes spelling mistakes as long as they are communicating something worthwhile and they aren't writing for a newspaper.
I'm more bothered by cutsie expressions that are meant to be insulting. "Sheeple" and "Give your head a shake" are the two that I hate the most.
