Found an absolutely hilarious amount of broad egg noodles ( dry measured about 1 1/2 c. ) in the top cupboard with a clip on the bag.
Who would save this small amount and not just add them to the pot they were cooking at the time? A mystery for sure.
I boiled them up, tossed 10 medium sized shrimp into the cast iron pan with butter, sauteed adding herbs, garlic powder and broccoli florets.
Deglazed the mixture with a splash of red wine. Mixed in the noodles and OMG, delicious lunch!

midday on Friday I made a scrumptious western omelet. Modified of course to fit within my healthier ingredients.

Lunch is actually breakfast as I ate NADA, not even my coffee before heading out to the vet, then Purolator to return an amazon item, then off to F.Basics. Oh yes and topped off
the gas tank while I was out. Last meal was 8:30 last night but I wanted to be actually hungry so I waited. Enjoyed a 1 cup serving of my S Pie with mashed sweet potato/cauliflower topping, a 200 gram serving of my 8 bean cold salad ( sooo good! ) but had trouble finishing the Greek yogurt with berries. I'll just save that till later.

Almost finished the last of the Shepherd's Pie that I made a few days back. With the soup there is about 2 cups remaining. The salmon steaks I had sauteed up
2 days ago are almost gone too. WHEW! Those leftovers really DID hit the spot since I started my first meal at noon. A filling lunch for sure.

Apparently Swiss Chalet has an ALL You Can Eat Ribs offer on Mondays only ( while supplies last and only at certain locations?? )
DS and DH will apply a $50.00 GC IF the location nearest us still have the ribs special available. ( there may not be any ribs left after my guys dine...lo )
I may or may not tag along because I can only order the skinless chx breast and steamed veggies. SNORE! Better I let them enjoy their meal.

Drove out to Lake Louise and had a sausage roll and a cranberry bun for lunch at the bakery-kind of decadent.

Just made a 2 serving batch of chili ( for moi! ) using a handful of previously soaked and cooked beans I keep in the freezer.
Browned a small chunk of leftover ground turkey, sauteed up some mushrooms, added 1/3 bottle of pizza sauce, some salsa and
my homemade chili powder mixture ( minus salt ). Hilarious! Tasty through.
