My Friend in Australia sent me this ...not a bad idea maybe it could work here ....
Dear Ms. Gillard, (Prime Minister of Australia)
Please find below our suggestion for fixing Australia 's economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to banks that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan..
You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:
There are about 10 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them $1 million each severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:
1) They MUST retire.
Ten million job openings - unemployment fixed
2) They MUST buy a new Australian car.
Ten million cars ordered - Car Industry fixed
3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage -
Housing Crisis fixed
4) They MUST send their kids to school/college/university -
Crime rate fixed
5) They MUST buy $100 WORTH of alcohol/tobacco a week .....
And there's your money back in duty/tax etc
6) Instead of stuffing around with the carbon emissions trading scheme that makes us pay for the major polluters, tell the greedy s to reduce their pollution emissions by 75% within 5 years or we shut them down.
It can't get any easier than that!
P.S. If more money is needed, have all members of parliament pay back their falsely claimed expenses and second home allowances
If you think this would work, please forward to everyone you know If not, please disregard.

Good morning, everyone.
Off to a BBQ this afternoon, so the brats get to hang out with the treat dispensers. There's a good chance I won't be home til very very late - might actually just stay over at my folks' - so fair warning that the recap will either be very messed up or non-existent (too much fresh air, yeah, that's my excuse, not the sangria
).
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

A bit of rep on a Sunday
Rep that's gonna launch you right into Monday!
Rep cause you should know that you are in my thoughts,
Rep if you are nutty & consume jello shots,
Rep if you're relaxing or twisting by the pool,
& rep for the followers of the Golden Rule,
Rep for the people, who are feeling just a tad wacky,
& rep for all who’ve dated somebody named Jackie,
Rep if you a sports fan & are glued to the telly,
& sandwich rep for the people who like peanut butter & jelly,
Reps of kindness for listening instead of blurting,
& for being a sounding board for someone who is hurting,
Rep cause you remembered what you shouldn’t forget,
& rep for keeping in my the things you never should sweat,
Rep just because reppin’ is a habit of mine,
& it’s also an excuse for posting a rhyme.
p.s. the boys are manning the kissing booth all day long ladies!

Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin with Sage Garlic butter for dinner tonight!

Normally make it in the oven,
but it's going to be too hot to cook inside today.
So BBQ it is!
Off to the butcher shop for some fresh bacon!
Maybe they have Psychedelic Bacon?

Cheers!
