Me and mom were at sobeys, picking out the BOGO deals, while we were in the TP aisle, we noticed this HUGE stack of coupons!
We automatically went over to see if there were any there that we would use. EVERY SINGLE ONE was expired. Some even expired all the way back in march! Like WHY
do that? Just THROW THEM OUT! Instead of people getting excited, possibly taking them to the cash to use, and then get let down! Not the first time this has happened to me and mom.

Same thing happened to my daughters while shopping last week. A bunch of expired coupons near the Dr. Oetker p roducts. These were laying on top of the products and not hanging still.

I think people go though their binders in the store and when they find an expired one they just thow them off. I have seen this around at our Dominion (loblaws) it's sort of rude but meah... what can ya do?

I've found this before also, what I wonder is maybe someone put those down like a day or two before the expiry and then they expire on the shelf..
But of course people also sometimes probably put them down instead of recycling them...(or trashing them, depending on your recycling program.)
A while back I was in a store and they had like 20 different full coupon tear pads of expired coupons.. People were glaring at me, but I was annoyed and took all the coupons from all the tear pads and then I handed the expired coupons (about $4000.00 worth!) to a passing supervisor.. The young guy was speechless but I just continued shopping LOL! I wonder if there is not assigned staff member to remove the old coupons???

Today I found a bunch of parmasan cheese ones still on the display. They expired June 30, 2011.

lol, last week at Rexall I found a whole tearpad of Garnier coupons that expired December 2010

I felt like taking the whole pad home to recycle.

This has happened several times before to me! I'd see a really great coupon tearpad thinking I'm in luck to find this...only to realize that it had expired
Frustrating, that's for sure!

Now that I've thought about it, I think next time I'm just going to bring the tearpad up to the cash and let them know the coupon is expired.

Usually if you find them in store they will still honour them as it's their fault they are still on display. I however usually just tell them to take them down.

I keep hearing that you can send your expired coupons to families in the armed forces? Is this a US thing or for Canada as well?
