It has not been that low in the GTA in close to a year. We are at 123.9 today but about a month ago it was 132.1 craazzzy imo

I love to decorate at least the INSIDE - livingroom and kitchen for seasons and special days. It takes a lot of storage, however, and my dh is encouraging me to "purge". He likes it when it looks nice, though. Christmas is my favourite. - Then we do outside and inside.

Well, my October goal of getting someone else to organize Thanksgiving - NOT going to happen! They've all organized it with OTHER people, so dh and I are going to have my db and my best friend HERE! It's good to be with friends and family. I can't believe that anyone would like to see our house on Thanksgiving Day! If so, I hope they like turkey!

My poor dh is stressed out about the process! He gets annoyed when people don't show up or are late - I just roll a little better with the process, I think - but I have been popping TUMS more lately (besides my prescribed stomach meds) - I'll mention this to the dr when I see her this next week.
    !
It will sell when it sells, I guess, but dh would love it if it went quickly!

Poor Gary! Poor You! I had fleas in my house once - it was SUCH a pain ridding the house of them! We pay for anti-flea-tick stuff from April until Dec. (It can get warm hear during all those months!) It IS expensive.

I'm giving him Benadryl too every twelve hours. Included in that is 6 months worth of advantage. It needed to be done, but that was pretty much all of my extra money I'd been saving for debt/bill payments.

Gas here right now is also 119.9/L We did go up to 124.9/L a few weeks ago but luckily I do not drive a lot and did not have to fill up until the price went back down.

I am waiting to see what happens this week with the long weekend coming.

Turkey dinner is done (not our big Thanksgiving just a turkey I wanted to cook to get out of the freezer) so lots of leftovers for the next few days. Kitchen is clean and I have 2 large bins of folded clean laundry to put away and my bed to make with clean sheets. Will do that when I'm putting DS to bed. Feeling full so don't really feel like doing anything else tonight.

Well I am going on a frugal trip later this month-off to Germany for 2 weeks to visit my sister while hubby stays with DD and our Korean student. So far my out of pocket expenses are 200.00 for taxes on my frequent flyer ticket( although I do have to take the milk run but I figure it will save me $800-900 so totally worth it to do a connection) and $123 for the airport hotel the night before I fly home. All other accommodation will be free thanks to my sis so the only other real costs will be touring around by train and some meals out. My sister and I are Scrabble fanatics so that will also keep us busy-and it's free! Oh and I already had annual travel insurance for the whole year so no extra charge for that.

I currently have a new batch of garden tomato sauce cooling on the counter. I need it to not be too hot when I put it in the freezer bags, into a gallon pail, and then into the freezer. I used my hand held blender to zing it up this time. I think it looks good. Purely tomatoes.

edit: I just put it in two medium sized freezer bags. It's about 1/3 of a gallon of sauce. Dh said that you can use green tomatoes to make tomato sauce. I have never done this before. One of my concerns is that it won't taste as good. The other concern is because I do it all by hand. The tomatoes that are almost over-ripe are easier to peel. Yes, I actually peel all of these tomatoes by hand. I don't think that green tomatoes would be nearly as juicy, nor will they peel that great. Then again...I have never tried. Any comments or suggestions?
