Ugh so just got back from Walmart and it was not plesant.

First I thought I got real lucky because everything I wanted was in stock. This should have been the first red flag. When I got to the cash I had a manager cash me out who informed me that I could not use my brandsaver coupons for toothbrushes or for the pantene since the product was less then the coupon. I asked her if she could just make the coupon value to cover the cost of them items (so $3 instead of $3.50 and $4 instead of $5) and she said no, they were not allowed. Then I was told that they no longer pricematch store brands. This was my biggest . I asked why and they said they were losing money. I was kinda confused because I told her I didn't want my items if they wouldn't PM them so they are then losing out on more money because they lost just under $20 from me alone. She shurgged and said it was policy for last few weeks, notice from head office. Called store manager without telling him what it was about or me asking to call him. He came, I asked, he repeated basically same thing she said so I know its not just mumbo jumbo. I notified them that I would just got to GT for my cheese then and SDM for eggs (since both are within less then 2kms of Walmart.

Anywho, YMMV but just throwing the warning out to those so they aren't surprised if they get the same stories. This was at Bayfield Walmart in Barrie.


And then of course for getting 36 boxes of pasta and 15 feminine protection products for the foodbank KARMA decided to reverse it self on me and make my keys fall out of my pocket. Luckily we managed to find them within an hour of them going missing. Thats the thanks I get.

Has anyone been into Wal-Mart in Aurora, ON? Do we know what their policy is on price matching and will they accept screen shots?

I was there a couple weeks ago, showed them a screenshot of flyer and was told only PM stores locate in Aurora or NewMarket, very disappointed. I hope they will change their policy to PM Ontario soon, Please let me know if you decide to check it out.

I did not get a chance to try this, this week as I was working but my mom phoned and they said no problem on Canada Wide and Screen Shots. I only used flyers this week as did not have time to do screen shots on ipod and I used Flyers from Keswick no problem unless there is another Zehrs closer to Aurora I do not know about. But maybe that was because I had the flyer.
