Though its been a few wks, DH ,DS & myself went to Buffalo on Victoria Day for a day out. DH got a lot of polo shirts in JC Penny for $9.99 reg $26.99-$29.99. We went to Burlington Cost Factory but I wasn't impressed with the empty racks especially in the ladies dept. I ended up buying a pair of Jeans $19.99( but returning them) & a top $9.99. I was impressed with the price of the Gymboree & Carter's infants/toddler clothing. I hid some stuff for DS then figure I'd return & get them if the prices at the Carter's & Gymboree stores were not competitive etc. It was not so we went back to Burlington Coat Factory. The dept. clerk must have found my hidden stash as the clothing were back on the rack, except for a Gymboree polo shirt. For sure someone bought it. So....all the jumpers were $5.99, 1 pair shorts $7.99,tops $4.99/$5.99, socks $.99,Ecko Unld shorts set $9.99(DH was adamant that I not leave it so he paid for it).In JC Penny, I bought 2 Joe Fresh t-shirts $2.97 ea. (reg $14) & 2 x 3pk Carter's briefs $2.97 ea. (reg $12).Based on my experience here with the Gymboree store that's out of my way, I think I got a good deal.DH is beyond happy with his haul.

Yesterday at the last minute I snatched up free tickets on GOFOBO to see How to Train your dragon 2 screener. Well I lugged my 5 year old downtown only to find out the theater was super overbooked. So we got free tickets for another day from Cineplex. A lot of people might be annoyed by this but I figure we won anyways because that theater was packed like sardines with lots of people...some of whom are unpleasant. It was also a very late showing for a 5 year old. We'll go to a show later on at a less packed theater at a more convenient time and it will be completely free.

Received my $260 Canadian Tire gift card that I won in the Castrol Summer of Awesome contest today (was supposed to be a bike but they sent a gift card instead).

I was able to get the $25 promo card today for spending over $100 so I turned the $260 to $285. Plus, the toaster oven that we wanted was on sale by in-store special.

Checked out Big Deal Liquidator store today(wanted to see what all the hype was about). Apparently, they have lots of Targets old items. This is what I found:

    4 pairs of women's undies@$1 each
    Goody Hairbrush $4.80
    Plastic Bowl@$1
    Boys Tshirt $4

They had a coupon worth 20% off today. So after discount and taxes paid $12.85
