The problem is that Ford is an egomaniac and an addict. Bad combination. Things will be done on his terms and no one else s, he loves to hear about himself in the media, on the late night shows, I'm sure he's watching himself "trend" on twitter, CNN, etc. And he is an addict he doesn't believe he has a problem. He isn't going anywhere. Get use to him.

On the egomaniac part, notice that the circus just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger? The media doesn't release something and so Ford himself says something stupid and/or outrageous such as "yes I do crack" after 5 months of denial or "I get enough kitty at home" after being accused of using prostitutes. He's in charge of this train but rest assured it will crash at some point. I just hope he only takes himself out when it does and no innocent bystanders.

I also hate him even more now that I found out he rallied his PC supporters and got Harper in. I wonder how his buddy Harper feels about him now.

His family isn't helping things either. Rob does basically anything Doug tells him too. And from what it seems like, at the 'Ford family meeting' last week, he was basically told by mom, sister and brother(s) that he can't quit.

WOW what a mess...I cannot even begin to comprehend his logic of keeping his job as Mayor. If I had smoked crack, drank at work, and did whatever else he is "alleged" to have done I would be JOBLESS, FIRED, GONZO!

Oddly, the allegations of drinking and driving is the most infuriating for me. Probably has something to do with the fact that my childhood best friend and her brother were killed by a drunk driver and several years ago, another friend of mine was left paralyzed from the waist down when he was hit by a drunk driver.

I'm not sure if you were aware of the controversy regarding a city employee who was photographed sleeping, but a councillor asked yesterday at council, if that person who is sleeping on the job should be fired, but a mayor can admit to smoking crack and buying illegal drugs while in office, yet still keep his job. I think we need a master list of the "Ford excuse," ie. "Sorry officer, you didn't ask me the right questions" or "I may have smoked crack while blackout drunk but I can still do my job."

Also, it isn't being reported because the release of the documents is being covered the most, but Ford put a motion to council yesterday to have all councillors drug tested (at the Mayor's expense).

Oh yes yes the city worker sleeping on the job...I remember that Mr Ford called that a black eye for the city of Toronto...right but you smoking crack and whoring it up in city hall is OK! This man has what I like to call the couldn't be me syndrome - everyone else should have repercussions on there actions except me bc I can do no wrong!

Ford is making an announcement shortly - $100 bucks he says "I have made mistakes, I am only human, I am sincerely sorry" blah blah blah same old same old.

him and his family are just grasping at air now. it doesn't seem they have many IQ points to share among them, because any one else in that situation would know to keep shut. :p

anisa the scary thing is people still support him! He'll crash one way or another and sooner rather than later. Not that I wish to see him crash because he is human afterall, but it will happen.

I hope he was sincere and IS seeking help, BUT once you lie and on a grand scale like he did it's hard to trust his word again. How do you trust the word of an addict? If he truly feels he has a problem and wants to deal with it he needs to step down, enter detox where media can't bother him. It was nice to see him read from a script for once!

In other news, the Argos are distancing themselves from Ford after he was seen wearing their jersey while making his 'cat' comments. Ford Motors has also asked him and his supporters to stop using a logo similar to Ford Motors for Ford Nation promo material.

How do you trust the word of an addict?

I had a friend who struggled his entire adult life with a heroin addiction, so speaking from experience, you can't. And it took me a really long time to realise that. But now, I won't be fooled again.

It's truly unfortunate trishka.

And I also realized he didn't say he was getting help, he said he was getting support. Yes we know this, just look at his family. They are supporting his addiction. It's sad.
