I know, but I cant decide which store gc to buy. am planning on buying the tv either on black Friday or boxing day whichever store has the best price. Question, can I price match on boxing day or black Friday? That way I can decide what store then. lol. plzzzzzz help.

You can do the GC promo at any store and then use the GCs at any store.

Yes you can, but also make sure the store you go to accepts it for high/a lot of gc purchases

Everyone remember to earn extra optimum points you must:

- Purchase with RBC Credit card
- Purchase SDM Gift cards first, then later use those SDM GCs to buy any other GC you want

Edit: Check your SDM if you can use SDM GCs to purchase other GCs. Most of them should but some won't allow it.

ok I have decided to buy best buy gc. this is my 1st time participating. I have a question. do I have to buy 2 card totaling $150.00? or I can buy $150.00 straight up? Also I will be buying around $900.00 best buy cards. will best buy accept several of their gc in a lots of denomination? don't want to buy all these cards and for them to tell me, that's a lot of card and they wont accept. plz help

I'm pretty sure you can't use Credit Cards to buy gift cards....and you can't use SDM gift cards to buy other cards....

In the past, ( like at least 2-3 years ago now ) I have in fact bought many SDM GC's and always used my AMEX to do it.
Only had an issue one time and the gal was wrong! She denied me the purchase, so I left and returned to speak with the manager another day and told her to speak with that cosmetics gal as her attitude was very bad. I told her what the gal had said to me which was " I KNOW our store policy and you cannot use your AMEX " and when I asked to see a manager she said she was not there. I got an apology, nothing more for my frustration. Just another reason I have avoided SDM for so long.

This GC promo does however work for me, as GC's are something I will buy for Xmas, so i will need to know the best way to do this for points.

For all the people wondering about buying the gift cards with a credit card, in Canada, it is against the law to buy credit with credit.
So you cannot buy one of the credit card gift cards (i.e. AMEX gift card), with a credit card.
You can however, purchase regular retail store gift cards (i.e. Shoppers, LCBO, gas, etc gift cards), with your credit card.
I hope that clears this up.

I have bought dozens of GCs with my Credit card and dozens of GCs with SDM GCs and have never been rejected for several years and I know others do the same. It's certain SDM that won't accept them.

What about us making a list of SDMsthat don't let us buy GCs with Credit Card officially (like they have a notice at the cash register).
