Kris I got them at Dollarama a couple of years ago. They always seem to have them sometimes different styles. I find the square ones work best in the freezer for space and stacking verses the round ones. They are great though as I just take one out of the freezer in the morning, stick it in the fridge and when I get back home I stick it in the microwave for 5 minutes and presto a hot home cooked meal ready to eat. I actually had a turkey one last night and the stuffing actually tasted better reheated! lol Go figure ...

My darn computer won't let me read/open the instructions. Do I just mix all the ingredients in a bowl then pour over chicken in crockpot? And just beer, salt, oregano, garlic and pepper??? That's it?

FBM-www.laaloosh.com open here to read. Yes mix and pour over chicken-cook 4-5 hrs on high or 6-8 hours on low.

The instructions just say to place all ingredients in the crockpot, cook on high 4-5 hours, or low 6-8 hours. And yes, that's the ingredients.

What did you use for beer? I was surprised that the original recipe said the person used Guinness, that's not beer, that's stout, rather strong-tasting stuff. Foul IMO, but my DH has a different opinion! Let us know how it turns out!

I'm trying cream of celery soup. I don't think I can make it any cheaper than Campbell's, but probably a lot healthier. It's cooking overnight and I'll put it in the fridge in the morning, and puree and add the milk in the evening.

    Small crockpot (2 person size)
    2 florettes broccoli
    1 stalk celery
    1 onion
    pepper
    butter
Campbell's Stock First (chicken). I thought I had a cream one left in the pantry

When veggies are soft enough, add milk/cream and puree.

Anything I should be adding to make it comparable to canned soup? While I love that DF can make his own meals that way, I need healthier options in the fridge. I've perfected chicken soup, apparently, but this is the first cream soup I've made in over 20 years.
