One of the things that I grapple with is keeping my emotions in check. There are times when I feel that this is just al too consuming. Medical regiments (drugs) have become part of my daily routine. The side effects have been kicking in & they are manageable....but I still detest them!!
I'm still me, I just wish I had more energy. I was reminded yesterday about pacing myself.
Today is an OK kind of day. I'm feeling good physically, it's just that I can't seem to shake a case of sadness. I'm sending my thoughts to happier places....maybe I just need a trip to McDonald's for a Happy Meal.

It's natural to feel that way Loocie. When you're in that sad moment, acknowledge it and own it, then try and find something that will rejuvenate you again.
It could be a "happy meal"a walk in the sun (hopefully you have more than I do!) or cheer someone else up. Could be a phone call or dropping in on an elderly neighbour. Doesn't have to require a lot of effort. It does make you feel much better though. .. "feel good" endorphins.
And of course, you always have your support group here

Mortgage Queen is so right. Sunshine can come from many sources. Here is a picture of Loocie wearing my Sunday best with my Mom & Grandmother. I look at my Mom & realize that she was such an attractive lady. My dear old Grandma was quite a charming lady. Both my Mom & Grandmother were very strong women. I look to them for inspiration when I need a gentle reminder not to stay too long at the Party of Pity.

As for your photo...how sweet! It looks like we were so similarly raised: don't you miss wearing white gloves?? Omg...washing them out every night before church on Sunday....keeping them wrapped up and neat...finding them in the perfect fit..!! Lovely memories...! And hats!! Ah, going to the milliner here and having hats made for my Mom and I....sigh...who knew back then how lucky we were to have had those experiences. Nothing like a new bonnet and white gloves, eh?
