hmm. good to know. i was looking at possibly getting a bell turbo stick to use at the cottage ... but overheating? guess i'll look at the ipad again.
anyone have any comments good or bad about the ipad?

We use Bell and Telus Turbo sticks at work.. the sale guys do.
They have never had any issues

I use my Roger's cell phone to tether up north and I've never had an issue - but I'm not that far up north. You just have to be careful for data usage. I have 6 gigs of data and never come close to using it all.

Just as a Curiosity...
After using your Laptop for a bit, unplug the mouse and feel the connector. Is it warm or hot?

the mouse connector is fine, not hot at all. doesn't matter which USB port i use. that's why i say the stick is defunct. i like the bigger laptop to do the pictures. it has mucho memory, the little not so much. mind you it's great for trips, not as bulky.

One Question typically asked sounds Belittling, but one would be Surprised how many times it is overlooked...
"Is it plugged in?"
It is Amazing how many times the Response is, "Oops".
My Buddies now tell me their PC-Related Issue(s) and quickly throw in... "Yes... it is plugged in and there is power."
Especially when I make them cough up a 2-4 or 26'r for being Foolish.

i try & make sure that i've checked everything i possibly can before calling, cause i sure don't want to have that embarassing moment of forgetting something simple either.
