was so sad seeing dave ross's mom, and family remembering him.
sighing,,, was up a long time watching live and hoping he would be
caught quickly. then decided to check out his facebook page
which had a lot of posts of course saying how terrible what he had
done was,,, then saw some idiot from the states, with pro-gun
crap, kept posting,,,
sent a mail to facebook suggesting that the profile be taking down
as he had murdered rcmp members and was a wanted man.
and received this, at 3:50 am
We reviewed your report of Justin Bourque.Thank you for taking the time to report something that you feel may violate our Community Standards. Reports like yours are an important part of making Facebook a safe and welcoming environment. sent another one and received this, at 6:57 am
We revised our decision on your report of Justin Bourque. We reviewed the page you reported for containing credible threat of violence. Since it violated our Community Standards, we removed it. Thanks for your report. We let Justin Bourque know that their page has been removed, but not who reported it. Facebook never discloses who submits a report.
sent another one advising fb, that the guy murdered 3 rcmp members and
wounded 2 others, besides terrorizing a lot of people and worrying
many more. and suggested that they should first look into the compliant
before making any decision, and they should not expect any reply
from him - idiots.
so in case you ever want to have someone removed from fb,,,

The sea of red serge is just amazing... and, of course, other police officers, too.
I can't imagine how hard that service will be to get through for those who know the men, and for fellow brother officers, too.
I sure wish I could watch the whole thing, but I won't be able to.

I can't watch the coverage of this because I'll end up crying at work. I'll come back to this thread when I get home.
Poor Danny. The bond that handlers and their animals have is absolutely amazing and he must be absolutely heart broken.

I still remember the row of 4 portraits in the newspaper after the Mayerthorpe shooting. This time around, I don't think I'll ever forget the picture of Danny sniffing his partner's stetson. It's just too much!

Heartbreaking photos of Danny. Video of snippets of the service, which is equally heartbreaking, especially the image of Cst. Larche's little girls clutching an RCMP bear.

While it doesn't make what happened any better, I'm really relieved to hear that Danny will be able to go back to doing what he loves. Right now he's staying with an officer who used to be a dog handler and, judging from the video of him playing in the stream, is being treated with lots of love.

Hundreds of runners — many wearing red — are out in Moncton this morning to remember the three RCMP officers who were gunned down this month.
RCMP in red serge are also at the event, called 3KM for 3 Fathers. Many runners are slowing down as they pass the officers to shake hands or hug, the CBC's Matt Bingley said.
Later Sunday, the gifts that have been piling up outside Codiac RCMP headquarters will be collected and sorted. The mountain of items include teddy bears and handmade cards.
RCMP say anything that can be preserved will be shared with the families of the officers. Three maple trees will be planted at the homes of the families of the three slain Mounties.

Justin Bourque, the man accused of killing three RCMP officers and wounding two others in Moncton, N.B., has pleaded guilty to all charges.
Bourque, 24, entered his plea in court Friday. He had been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.
His case is set to return to court on Oct. 27, to file victim impact statements and pre-sentencing documents.
At the end of July, Bourque underwent a psychiatric assessment, and it was determined that he was competent and mentally fit to stand trial.
