    1. My MRI results came back great! They have moved me to 6 months scans now. Wahoo! And because my brain is behaving I've also been seizure free for almost 7 months now!

    2. I have surgery booked at McMaster for January 15th for a Hysterectomy to deal with that other stupid issue that I swear was caused by my treatment last year. Whatever caused it doesn't matter because I'm getting fixed. Literally. haha.

In addition to dealing with my own health issues I've been dealing with my Mom's diagnosis of Atrial Fibrillation, Right valve heart failure and kidney failure. It's been tiring being dragged along to her various Dr's appointments and tests and stuff that as she refuses to go alone. On top of my stuff I have to deal with.

So I'm really sorry I haven't checked in, and if I worried anyone I'm uber sorry. Forgive me? I've just been ridiculously busy and tired. Not to mention tired of being ridiculously busy. lol But I missed each and every one of you.

    One tough cookie alright!
So glad you've returned to update us. Excellent for the good stuff, sorry about the bad stuff.
You and yours are in my prayers

Thank you all for your kid words and your concern, you guys really are the greatest. I'm so glad you understand my absence and aren't ticked off that I went awol. December is now a crazy month as I have to get all of the "general" appointments squeezed in before Christmas, feels like I have something every other day until the 22nd. lol We also have to car shop as the car was stolen 2 weeks ago. Grrrrrr. Right out from in back of the apartment here. Write off. Phooey. Since I'll need to get around to follow up appointments after surgery it's become a top priority.

My surgery is on a Friday and ideally I could be released on Saturday, but my surgeon thinks they will keep me up to 3 days due to my brain tumour and the fact I will be upside down for my surgery. You should have saw my face when I was told that. lol I said I have pressure headaches now when I bend over too quickly LOL
    Ahhh. Goodtimes.

Poor Tara! You are a good girl for being there for your Mom. You have so much to deal with and you do it with grace and humour. . . although I hope not all the time,as you need to vent and scream at life too.

You continue to inspire us Tara. But if you decide to have a bad day and vent, that's ok too. You go right ahead. You deserve it.

Oh goodness, thank you all for your kind thoughts/prayers/words, etc, but I must have forget that I didn't inform you all that I ended up cancelling my surgery. Long story short.........I did research and discovered what high doses of Vitamin C were supposed to do for my current situation, so I told my surgeon I wanted to give it a go. If I can avoid major surgery by using something as simple as a vitamin, I'm game. She said the ball was in my court and would accept me for surgery for up to a year without needing a new referral. I'm taking 1500mg daily of Vitamin C and the results are AMAZING!

Thank you for remembering though. You make me all warm & fuzzy inside.

Wow, well, I'm so very glad you are better!

I went to your blog and read your more recent entries regarding this. (For those who don't know, click on her word AMAZING on her post and it takes you there.)

I can't believe there is a gynecologist out there who would say that perimenopause could not start in mid-30s - there are even cases where it begins earlier.

I do know your case can be totally different because it's complicated by your other health difficulties.

I've been in perimenopause since about 37, and I'm two weeks from being 55. It's been a long haul.... also complicated by me having PCOS, because some symptoms overlap.

Hard to believe a vitamin megadose can regulate bleeding like it has for you, but if you are happy with the results, good for you. I just did some reading up on it. I would hope that you are having your hormones tested through all of this, as well as your vitamin levels.

Hope your weekend is a good one!

Natalka the thing with me is that nothing is ever normal or straightforward. Haha. I keep detailed journals and I see my GP on the 28th, if I keep up with my current trend I will be 50 days straight of not bleeding when I see him. I'm going from one extreme to the other. He did tell me to not go above 2000mg a day of C supplement but I'm pretty sure that 1500mg is working fine for me. At the very least it's gotta help me during the winter months if this is ALL a coincidence. lol But I didn't want to rush in to surgery if I don't have to, or I can at least delay it.

Thank you Skippy. I've always believed in being very informed in your health, but since 2010 that kicked in to high gear. I think it's helped a time or two.

Why aren't you seeing a gynecologist about this instead of a GP?
I would also be concerned if you aren't getting a period, that means you aren't ovulating, and that isn't good either...
