Walks I find I have to do research because most of my specialists are out of town, hard to get a hold of and when I can get a hold of them I don't know when I can get to see them lol So at least if I can try to figure stuff out on my own maybe I can figure something out on my own. I mean I'm not diagnosing a major illness or anything lol.

TaraF - I have read your thread from the beginning, and I hope you don't mind my jumping in.

I live in the UK, had a lumpectomy in October 2013, had 15 weeks radiotherapy but I took Artemisinin and drank Artemisia Annua tea (grown in my garden) instead of the recommended Letrozole. I am clear as of today but I continue taking Artemisinin and drinking the tea daily and will do until I am clear for 5 years. I decided to go down this route after I contacted Prof Henry Lai and Prof Najendra Singh at Washington State University because I was so impressed with their research. If you want to read some of the papers do PM and I will gladly send them to you.
In the meantime I hope that you grow stronger each day. You are one amazing lady.

Hello everyone, I hope you guys have been behaving. I know a lot has changed in my absence.....like a NEW PRIME MINISTER!!!!!! But I digress. I've been laying kinda low due to my "issues". I've been really tired as I've become anemic from the blood loss from that secondary issue I was soooo lucky to get. Yay me? lol But I have great news.

1. My MRI results came back great! They have moved me to 6 months scans now. Wahoo! And because my brain is behaving I've also been seizure free for almost 7 months now!

2. I have surgery booked at McMaster for January 15th for a Hysterectomy to deal with that other stupid issue that I swear was caused by my treatment last year. Whatever caused it doesn't matter because I'm getting fixed. Literally. haha.

In addition to dealing with my own health issues I've been dealing with my Mom's diagnosis of Atrial Fibrillation, Right valve heart failure and kidney failure. It's been tiring being dragged along to her various Dr's appointments and tests and stuff that as she refuses to go alone. On top of my stuff I have to deal with.

So I'm really sorry I haven't checked in, and if I worried anyone I'm uber sorry. Forgive me? I've just been ridiculously busy and tired. Not to mention tired of being ridiculously busy. lol But I missed each and every one of you.

Tara!! So nice to see the update ( some good news there about the seizures!) and totally understandable that you just cannot be on here when you have so much going on. Hope you can find some time to chill and enjoy your Christmas and New Years before going in for surgery.

Oh, goodness we've missed you here, but absolutely understand how life sometimes gets in the way of playing on here with us.
Great news re your MRI! Absolutely fantastic! As for getting 'fixed', lol, there will go another problem!
Sorry about your Mom and the issues she's going through right now and the fact that you not only have to look after yourself, she needs you by her side, too. What are doctors doing for her? Will this one day be controlled, sorry I don't know anything about how that's dealt with, but I hope one day you two will be able to rest, relax, and just move from day to day without the worries you have now.
