Took my Mum back for her 8 week orthopedic follow up apt after breaking her hip and all is well. Also moved her back to my brother's today as she is recovered . My friend is bringing her 5 year old and 2 month old over for me to watch while she goes to workout. DD is adjusting to high school and I am looking forward to a quieter fall rhythm come tomorrow. DH cleaned the house while I was out!!

It was a long morning. I brought goodies and business cards to one Catholic school at 8:20am. One teacher booked me for 3 consecutive days in October and she'll book another day when the school division gives her more info. I taught for this teacher last year too. She introduced me to the new Grade 2 teacher because she was looking for some substitute teacher days to book too. She was impressed that I had a business card for her and she said she'd put the info in her cell phone. I told her that she can book me by text message, if it was more convenient for her. The secretary booked me for 2 afternoons for another teacher, the first one is next week Friday.

We went to WM, bank, House of Stationary (to get more business cards printed), CT, and Sobeys. I won't claim it was a frugal morning, but it was quite productive. We bought a 12 piece set of pots and pans from Canadian Tire and used the $5 scratch card. I have been wanting to buy new pots and pans for a while now. These ones are Cuisinart and advertised at 75% off. I'm quite exhausted and plan on taking a nap when LO goes to sleep for me. I'll need to pick up the business cards at the end of the day before I head over to register LO for his gymnastics class. Dh has been on an out of town route all last week and this week, because of various people being on holidays. We are having leftovers for supper tonight because I intentionally cooked extra yesterday. Today is our wedding anniversary. I'm looking forward to giving him his presents tonight.

Tomorrow will be similarly busy. I plan on taking LO with me to one school before school starts and the other school during their lunch break, etc. I'll probably tell you about it tomorrow.

busy day for all.
went to CT to get the boots that were on sale for the guys, with an extra warm pair of socks they should be fine for $20. not bad.
used a scratch it and got $5 off.
then went to son's school to look at getting money back for books he never used. they are 'consigning them' if they dont' sell he takes them back to the book shop next month. they also had a free lunch, it was awesome.
now im back and dh is working on getting things together for a birthday cake were doing together for 'our girlie', im working at selling off my stuff. finally.

Good Evening Everyone,
Dinner is done just had cut up hot dogs (I love the crispy outside so I slice than ans crisp them on all sides) with mashed potatoes. Dishes are done. Finished cutting up the rest of the watermelon for my lunch and took the garbage out (the fruit flies in my house are insane).

So many other things I should do think I will relax a bit and than go work on my dresser. We have had a love/hate relationship for year (me and my dresser) so I am hoping it make a turn for the better so we can work together. No idea why but I have never been good at using dressers or keeping them organized but I tried to give up having one and that did not work either.

Our lazy Susan has recently been cleaned. But what hasn't around here? Good start to school year. Class seems really sweet (so much so I am scared!) DD#1 had a great start to JK. She has come home dry both days so I am happy.

nancy I dont have a lazy susan-but 2 kitchen junk drawers
-well went to the dentist-have to go back monday need a filling-so mymouth is a bit sore-talked to her about gum surgery I will e sore for 3 days-and she said i should get it done or my gum may recede-don't wait too long oh and it may work or may not -so right now i deal with really sore inflamed gum above the new tooth she put 7-9 times a month(those days I cat get anything done -I have cried a little -she gave me a rinse it helps a bit but askedfor painkillers today so she gave me a prescription for tylnol 3(if i have the surgery -don't know how much insurance will cover a dental surgeon afew years ago had an infection in my teeth that would have gone into my bloodstream(cost 2,000 not covered)
-so that's my life lately its so frustrating
- I actually dozed off after supper at 5.30 -but my daughter called and talked to me about her problems
-wellson/family are coming on thursday -baby will cheer me up -thanks for listening girls

-meanwhile my birthday/anniversary is coming up this month and I could care less -but I want to make a nice romantic candlelight meal for hubby and I cause it will be 35 years-wow

coupon girl sorry to hear about the pain and the grief of your dental/teeth/gum problems, our mouth is 1 of those super sensitive body parts. Hope the insurance covers some of the costs if you proceed with the surgery. Also a nice romantic dinner for your hubby much appreciated and congrats 35 years and birthday too. My birthday is this month too.

Well my mom called this am to say her & dad were on their way to come and get me for lunch and Costco, so we had lunch at Scores (love their salad bar) my parent treat. My mom told me to put whatever I would normally purchase or need in the cart and she would pay. I did so reluctantly but did not go overboard as I was truly grateful. So I have the lunch snacks she purchased tucked away for those days where there is no homemade goodies to take/put in their lunches. Also Sealtest butter that is on sale at Costco (in Ontario anyways) for $2.59 .

Work has been stressful lately. Our Conveyancing Secretary quit - and our new lady starts on the 5th of Sept and when she did quit our receptionist was only in training for a little over a week. I'm the only one thats been there longer than a year now.Which means I'm actually doing 2 jobs now and putting in extra hours. Cant complain about the extra money but the stress is getting to me to the point that BF told me its time for me to find a new job becausethe stress is getting to me emotionally and im also I'm not healing properly again. The boss retracted paid sick days so if I have to miss (like yesterday i was WAY too sick to go into work) I'm not paid, which REALLY REALLY sucks. I liked having the one paid sick day a month to fall back on.

We got an awesome amount of Cucumbers from our garden a couple small bags of beans to freeze. We froze some swiss chard to crunch up into soups and sauces. and So far....we've gotten 15 potatoes from 1 plant! Tomatoes are looking awesome. Our peas are flowering again but I think it may freeze before there are more pods ready.


I've gotten a few computers this month so have made about $180 extra this month. Theres possibly another 120 as well - we will see if people actually drop things off though. i'm sticking the extra funds straight into the Emergency fund just in case we need it. I'm also putting any overtime $$ into the EF as well. because We did discuss me quitting my job in November and just going to something lower paying job for a while. I am applying for other things though as we speak. We'll see how the stress goes after there's less work load. I REALLY dont want to be responsible for other peoples mortgages. (When you think that I ended up with 18 extra hours on top

Everyone has been so busy the last few weeks! i read all the posts and lost track of everything I wanted to say!

I cant have babies so sadly i cant share labour stories!

I was computerless (of my own) for a week or so - damaged my hard drive and had to order parts to repair it - a not so frugal fit of tempter. Oups.

We did our backto school shopping in the closet...and a bit online to have a few things like notebooks and paper onhand as the boys need replacements. Walmart shipped right to our door!

I've been doing a bit of christmas shopping and crafting - trying to make it as "frugal' as possible by spreading some of the costs out over a few months with purchasing some awesome ideas on sale or clearance.

I've replenished what we spent on tub repairs in july from my TFSA finally - makes me happy to have that back in there. Hoping before the next emergency comes up to have a bit more of a nest egg in the EF fund though.
