Good Morning!
Things seem to be calming down a bit here but still a bit hectic.
I finished year end for my husbands company, feels great to have that of my back, and off to work at the golf course for a couple of hours. Made chocolate macaroons and banana swirl muffins for lunches last night. Doing a quick grocery shop for the week, don't need much at all, have my meals planned out and feeling good about being organized for the week, have a lot on the go... four 7 am physio appoints for my son, a physical for me in the morning, and a dentist appointment on Thursday as well as parent teacher interviews...not sure what the heck they have to talk about when we are only in the third week of school in grade 11 but will be a good mom and go through the motions!! Oh and I am doing the Terry fox run with my Granddaughters school on Tuesday and then off to work. Yup crazy week for sure.
Meal plan is pork loin roast with roasted potatoes and carrots, apple crisp for dessert will use the leftovers for sandwiches for lunches for tomorrow and Tuesday,
Monday-frozen cordon blue chicken (sale at coop this week) with jasmine rice and spinach salad
Tuesday-quesadillas with salad
Wednesday-bone in Greek chicken with Greek salad and Jasmine rice(leftover from Monday)
Thursday I am going to make a Parmesan egg drop soup with spinach (use the leftover spinach form Monday's salad)( recipe in the new All you Need is Cheese mag) with grilled cheese on sour dough.
Friday is barbecue something..probably burgers.
Tired just thinking about it!!!Well off I go will sleep well tonight.

Ashley so thinking of you and all the un-needed stress that your mom's financial situation is putting a strain on you BUT remember it is her debt and responsibility, however, I am sure you are so torn between bailing her out and knowing that paying you back may be a challenge. I read somewhere that when you lend $ to family it's best to realize you may never get it back and consider it a gift, good luck with what you decide.

Should not have gone to play instead of filing. Sigh.
Note to self, when one is looking at pretty crystals, all of which are a pretty shade of yellow, make sure the lids on the containers are on tight and always put them on a tray.
Second note to self, if one is stupid enough to not use a tray or secure lids, one should not be looking at pretty things on a grey carpet that hides everything (great for when you are trying to ignore dog/cat/human hair, not so great when searching for itsy bitsy teeny beads).
Foolish human will go back to sorting papers now.

Good Morning all, Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
Today we are digging our potatoes. At 5 I'm babysitting for the second evening in a row for a friend. I need to go through our "filing cabinet" which is actually a nightstand draw and dispose of older receipts again I did it about two years ago Last and the newer things ahve been going in the filing box in the closet. I make sure not to keep the envelopes andphamplets that come with them so its less stored over time.
The boys are back with their mom this week and BF has three days off during the week - nice for me because i don't have to decide what to make for supper!
I transferred 300 frommy credit union savings to the tangerine savings to take advantage of their back to school 3% on any new deposits between sept 1 and 15 until november. I figure the extra interest will be nice and I can always move the funds back later on.

Happy Sunday to all,
So I will be turning 40 this month and it just so happens that it is the same day that the new season of Survivor "tv show" starts so I told the boys I am throwing myself a "survivor birthday party", it will be the 2 boys and my mom (lol). Dh will be away hunting which is fine. At first the boys thought I was joking but nope I am planning the decorations (idols, food, snacks, games) so excited - making everything myself (frugal). And besides 40 is the new 20 (haha) or atleast 20 multiplied by 2 = 40 (haha).
Made homemade pizza last night new recipe and it took 5 minutes to make the dough and no rising
and it was delish, thin crust pizza yummers. was supposed to make it Friday but ended up going to Jaden's 1st scrimmage game (football) - I was so nervous I chewed all my fingers nails and I didn't know what they were doing or what everything meant but I guess I will learn in time
.
The filing cabinet and filing itself is almost complete, shocker to me.....I guess OCD does come in handy at times
.
Need to plan my meals for the week and will post later today, thriftygranny's menu sounds amazing
.
Dinner tonight is I have no idea, no that's not the name of the recipe it's really I have no idea, well better go figure that out before long dinner will be amongst us and everyone will be squaking for food.
Have a wonderful day everyone!!!2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Well DD slept over at a friends so DH and I had time to review the finances which we do from time to time-luckily all seems to be on track with our budget- we have not had any surprise repair costs that I know have been an issue for some. DH now has a small job for fun but I think his earnings will cover groceries and we no longer have private school fees-yeah. Mind you DD seems to frequently come home with a letter from the public high school needing $ for gym, band etc. Looking forward to nicer weather this week!

-jasper you are a baby compared to me(enjoy your party sounds like fun) hubby gave me a surprize party in our home when I was 40-so it was fun-then when i hit 50 my health went downhill -but I kept going cause I had my mom to take care of
