Eri, there's nothing wrong with that. I run my XP with themes and graphic niceties turned off, and it looks also like Win 2000 or 98 - and this reduces the demands of fancy graphics on the memory and system resources. People with low RAM will find this actually increases the responsiveness of their computer.

I use Vista. Been an issue at time. My puter crashes every so often for no reason. It is really annoying. I hope they get the bugs worked out of it soon.

Vista? Crashing? No way. Can't be.
Say, your computer wouldn't happen to be a Dell, would it?
Microsoft is in one hell of a lot of hot water right now for agreeing with Dell to mark certain systems as 'Vista Ready' when in fact they were not, and they were sold to the public with Vista preinstalled. The computers obviously barely worked if at all. The customers, having paid for Vista as part of the package, then had to pay extra to revert the OS back to XP afterwards.
Beware Windows 7 when it comes out. There are no improvements to the core structure. It will be Vista all over again.
Haha. People are turning to Linux in droves. Corporations are too. Governments are too. Schools and universities are too. Viva La Revolution Linux.

Sorry, but you may be one of the many who have been fleeced by the Dell/Microsoft deal to push Vista out onto the market before it was ready - and on machines unable to run it.
