So...who will it be?
Olivia Chow
Doug Ford
John Tory
Other (there are many others running, unfortunately they are statistically insignificant)
(folks from outside Toronto are more than welcome to 'vote' - I would love to know what you think )This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by Andit; Thu, Sep 18th, 2014 at 12:22 AM.

At this point I haven't made up my mind. It depends on what the polls by the pros say closer to the election.

I have not studied the platforms of any of the candidates but this poll should be interesting. Do the Fords control certain areas of Toronto based on demographics?

I'm currently undecided but my vote will be for anyone but Ford. I'm still trying to decide if Tory or Chow's platform is better for the city.
I'm also still trying to decide who to vote for for my councillor. I've already knocked two names off the list because their website has no information on their platform.

I'm very impressed by Doug Ford's performance in that debate.

When I first saw the cartoon, I have to admit I was a little shocked by the clothing reference and the way her face is caricaturized. Hopefully, educated voters know she's not from China. If I look at the cartoon as being a reference to how much racism she's faced in this campaign, I'm much less offended. Perhaps the cartoon is meant to point out how she is seen by voters, and not what the reality is. I hope so.
As for her riding Mr. Layton's coattails, I believe her to be a strong candidate in her own right and have her own opinions. I'm sure if Jack and Olivia didn't see eye to eye on major issues, they probably wouldn't be married. I think it's more laziness in the general public to want to pigeonhole candidates into certain categories (Rob and Doug Ford included).
I honestly can't say I know the election platforms of the candidates well enough to vote (I would not be eligible to vote for any of them) but I will say if they have to go back 24 years to dig up any dirt on her (that "story" on subsidized housing), that's impressive for any person, and amazing as a politician. I wish I had to look back 24 years to find any questionable actions in my life.
I'm a bit glad the election is over so I can stop reading about municipal political drama in the papers.
