This has come up in the WM PMing thread but rather than bug all of the people out of area I thought we could move it here

I have not PM'd at any Walmart yet. Think the other area regulars might know if Upper James has issues with PMing or not.
Since I don't like the lighting in the store (it's kind of gray/dim in there), it would not surprise me if a cashier got crankier as each hour of work passed.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I have only started attempting Canada wide price matching these last few weeks, but i have only done it at the location near me and i am extremely shocked to say I have had no issues! But i have been reading all over the place that people have had issues at Upper James.

I've had major issues just using coupons and local pm'ing at Upper James Walmart (not even doing both at the same time), so I tend to avoid that store and go to Ancaster or Burlington instead...haven't tried Canada wide pm'ing anywhere yet though.

-I took my brother to upper james walmart about a month ago -had the crabbiest older cashier -she told him next time circle your price match items on your flyer -meanwhile he had them on top of the items -when we walked out he said to me she for sure should retire

It really does matter who you get for sure. My daughter's a cashier and she doesn't even check dates I don't think. My advice... look for the young, fast cashiers. She says she's never been questioned by a CSM about what she coupons or PM's I've never gotten around to asking her about what she does for weights of things etc. but I will.

The one who gave me a really hard time and declined the PMs of meat/produce was young (pale skin, dark long hair)

I have been PMing since Canada-wide started and very rarely have issues at Upper James. Lately though it's been a bit odd as they've limited to 6 per item, or told me it has to be a store they've heard of. I chalked it up to the cashier, not a policy change. Hopefully it was a one-off. I agree, sadly, that the younger cashiers seem to be better. Especially when using a phone or tablet.

Okay so here's what my daughter tells me. They can't PM on prepacked ie $5 price because it's so hard to convert it. The meat etc. must be the same exact same cut. The limit is 6 when your using internet coupons and may change to 2 because people are taking advantage of them and most have the same sku so they are prob photocopying them. Lastly the PM is Ontario wide but Upper J. will do Canada wide but it's up to the store itself.
She doesn't know who the CSM you mentioned is. It was a Front end manager not a CSM that's not liked.Last edited by xssavings; Fri, Oct 17th, 2014 at 09:55 AM.
