I am newly registered to the forum but I have been lurking on these forums and the Smart Canucks website for years now. I registered for the sole purpose of sharing this information because a lot of people were asking the same question and, truth be told, I was annoyed by the response that I received from Samplesource.

A lot of people have been asking the same question, and complaining about the IP address rule, on instagram but Samplesource hasn't yet provided any answers. Usually they are very prompt with answers.

oh wow would have loved the burt bees and some of those mags but was not offered any. I got 6 samples, still ok. late to the party.

I have been doing Sample Source for 4 (?) years now and have never had a problem. I have always signed up for myself, my hubby and my dad. All three different addresses but from the same computer.

We all have different emails as well.

These sample packs go faster and faster each year. I know I tell people all the time. Samples use to last past lunch but it looks like they are down to most people getting 4-6.

My co-worker is just signing up right now and she is getting...4. Jergens. chocolate, body wash and emerg-c.

sorry, welcome to smartcanucks. I got caught up in the frenzy of the fine print and forgot my manners. I hope SampleSource gives better clarification if that many people have inquired about it. Fingers crossed that we all get our orders for our offspring/senior relatives/friends that have no computer access.

If it is true about the 1 per IP address and people don't receive their samples a lot of people will be upset and sample source will get bombarded with complaints. Like people have mentioned, public Internet cafes, work comps, etc will be used by many people. Not everyone has Internet at home. That's really unfair

Yes, same with people in universities/dorms etc. or ordering from work.
Also, my friend in Toronto shared an IP address with the whole apt. building, as it was included in her rent (and this was a big building - at least 15 floors).

I understand the IP address provision but this is my problem with it. My work has over 100 people and I know I've told some of my colleagues about this, so even if I only did mine, but my colleague did theirs, we're not related, nor live at the same address, but one of us may not receive a sample box just because we're using the same IP address because we happen to do it at work.

The 1 per IP address doesn't make sense. What if some people don't have computers and have to do this at the library? How many PCs does one library need to have to accommodate that? That's discriminatory.

i would not be surprised if they compare physical address+ IP and do an elimination that way... figure out who is tweaking to get multi packages... but they should expect if one IP is ordering 2 for 2 completely different addresses located in different towns they are probably not ordering 2 for themselves
