Everyone who loves going to the movies should sign up for the "Scene" points card, apparently, it is really worth it. You get points for every movie you watch and, all the concession stuff you buy. I think only the cheapie Tuesdays don't count towards points.

I love how you mentioned the consignment store! I found a new one in my city I just love selling to. The owner is really nice too compared to where I used to go.

We've used a PC credit card for years and we get a LOT of free groceries from redeeming points. We get Airmiles/SDM points, etc and use the credit card and get PC points at the same time. We also use PC Financial and don't pay bank fees, which has saved hundreds, maybe even over $1000 dollars over the last 10 years. This is not a commercial for PC Financial, just letting you know that everyday shopping and spending habits add up. And we pay the cc in full every month

Savvyshopper I also keep track of my loyalty programs. I do all the same as you except not PC points. I have a Sobeys card. It takes awhile to get any decent points but I usually get $50 or more.
My favs are Air Miles, and SDM points. They can add up to alot. I get most of my Air Miles from Safeway. It took 15 years about to get 7000. Now I have managed to get 5000 this year alone. It doesn't take much. Watch for the offers and wait until its something you need + the bonus days + bonus products and it doesn't take long. And SDM.... well its just wonderful. I have almost enough to redeem for 3 at the top level. It is a huge help at Christmas time.http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/PinkSapphire. Click to get FREE Giftcards just for searching the web. It is so easy.

I have my hbc points converted to Airmiles! Last year I was able to redeem half of my airmiles to fly to my cousins wedding! And am back to where I was before I redeemed the flight. My debit card is with BMO and so I also collect airmiles for every 40.00 I spend. I love airmiles!!!

I have the SCENE card too! oh my, how could i forget. i also have the SCENE debit card via Scotiabank so I earn points when i use it at stores. It still takes me a while to earn them though...probably earned enough for 4 free movies since I got it about 3 years ago. Not a bad deal though...free is fun!
thanks for mentioning this maryboberry!
Thanks and WTG! The concept is great; I've been doing consignment for a few years now and love it.
WTG on your savings!
Woohoo! We're like "other money" twins! How nice!
Nice going on the free flight! I haven't used my airmiles for any travel but I have friends that do and it is a great blessing.

It's been a great $ week! Here what I got:
- Redeemed airmiles for $20 grocery voucher (Metro) AND $20 Shell Gas voucher!
- Redeemed Swagbucks for $10 paypal money!
- First $5 Gas GC arrived from Kellogg's promo!
- Cashed in some more $ from consignment sales!
In other $avvy$hopping news, I'm working on some diy renos and needed primer. GLADLY, Zellers sells Home Hardware GCs so I used my free $70 GC from HBC points redemption and bought 1x Home Hardware $25 GC, 1x $25 Esso Gas GC, 2x Old Dutch chips.
Thank God for "other" money!

Mail day surprise: Got $20 back from an MIR...that I totally forgot about! Good thing I didn't forget to mail it off in the first place! LOL. So that $20 partially paid for a banquet ticket (mmm, good eats and a fun night) and postage for some mail! Sweet!
