I think mine is that dh just rolled his eyes when he looked at my receipt from the Shoppers Beauty Redemption and saw that I spent 63 bucks on one jar of face cream. Oh and he got me some work out clothes that I bought and picked out myself(but he put them in a gift bag lol).

Great comments. I always say that I don't want to do valentines and I don't buy anything for my hubby any more but he always ends up buying for me. Bought a sapphire necklace for me and we are going out for dinner although don't know where for sure as a lot of places he tried making reservations, he was told they only reserve for two people and we want to go with our daughter.

Yes I am happy. He said it wasn't as much money as you think. The one he chose had a lot of corporate donations attached to it. So you donate a smaller amount and a bunch of companies donate to increase the value by almost 500%. He also gets a tax receipt so everybody wins

We had a lovely day. I made steak (a treat for us), potatoes and veggies. We surprised the kiddos with the news they are going to disney and universal for March break. Dh got crafty (really sweet, but not his forte). For his first attempt at crafting he did really good. He took a map and cut two halves of a heart from it. One half for me of the city I grew up in and other half was the city he grew up in. The he got a frame with a mat and wrote our anniversary date on it. He got the idea from etsy and doing it himself saved 90% of what it would have cost, my frugalness has worn off on him! (Who says thoughtful has to be expensive)

We don't really "do" valentines day, like many of you, but my husband did surprise me by making creme brulee while i was out doing a completely selfish shoppers redemption. He does not have a sweet tooth so I didn't even have to share. Delicious!!!

Dh took me out for a nice dinner. The scallops and clams were raw. neither of us ended up with food poisoning though. Happy Valentine's day to us.
It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.
