Hi, I'm new too... writing from PEI.... Am trying to save a few $'s over Christmas this year. Trying to be creative. My grown kids/grandkids exchange names amongst themselves and try to be creative as possible only spending $5 per gift. It's amazing what they come up with, and they seem to have fun doing it.

I've decided to do a little project myself this year.... I purchased each family a coupon organizer and am hoping to fill it with lots of good coupons that I know they will use-- and samples as well and parcel it up into a basket or some such thing. I pick up quite a number of brand new/almost brand new things at Value Village when I can get a good deal--- mugs, towels, etc. so hopefully by Christmas, I'll have a neat little *stash* for each of them. It's been fun... the countdown is on, so am hoping to find lots of good ideas on this site. Thanks.

Gemmee - that's a neat Xmas tradition. I had someone once buy wooden picture frames off Kijiji from me -- there tradition was nothing "new" so they'd buy things and spend months painting/decorating/carving/knitting etc.

Once coupon you might be able to trade for easily is the Free Crest Toothpaste Coupon or ask at your dentist's - they can have some.

And who doesn't love free ice cream? Email Chapman's Ice Cream - they're a super company by the way and make good ice cream, yogurt etc. and they'll send you a $5 coupon off their ice cream products. That equals free ice cream.
