The Great British Bake Off - Final!!!

So last night I settled in to watch the 3 episodes ( each one was 2 hours long! ) which I had recorded of the reunion of The Gilmore Girls.
When this first became available I was not able to view it on the tv options I had at the time.
Anyways, I have no idea if I am missing a final segment because what happened at the end of the last 2 hour segment I recorded was a teary eyed Lorelei telling Luke she was going away to some hiking trail??

That cannot possibly be the end? Also I really wanted to see Sookie ( Melissa McCarthy ) but she was not in any of the 6 hours I had watched. My tv guide search thing does not show any more episodes...grrr!
O.K. rant over
I better check Netflix to see if I am missing something.

In unrelated but exciting news... @Lynn49 I'll bet you were gloating at Brady getting his backside kicked last night by Mahomes AND your Packers winning!

Oh brother! Don't I feel sheepish now? I checked Netflix and the Gilmore reunion was there BUT....they had 4 episodes listed and each episode was 1.5 hours in length so that would be 6 hours right?
I compared the Netflix ones to the 3 x 2 hr. episodes that I had recorded from the tv and concluded they were the same 6 hours.
They weren't!
I have now watched the 4th Netflix episode ( included a smidgen of Sookie ) and received my Happy Gilmore Girls ending!! So content now.

The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix. It’s amazing now just imagine if I could actually play chess.

We just finished Queens Gambit on Netflix and both of us thought the series was really good.

Oh, it's SO very good. I just finished episode five.

I used to be in Chess Club in high school, but never played it seriously. I don't have the brain for it anymore. Husband is a chess fiend.

Aside from the storyline, I love how they stage the different years - the music, the clothes. Gosh, the amazing outfits from the early '60s - simple tops and those amazing skirts, plus the gorgeous dresses!

Last night, I saw that CBC at 9pm ET ran an episode of Schitt's Creek that was about Christmas. Thought it was a special post-series episode, but apparently it had aired during a previous season. I enjoyed seeing Johnny Rose flashback to past Christmases at their former manse. Bro and Mom watched too.
But as soon as the Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean special came on, Mom balked at the character's store behaviour.

Plan to stream a couple of Disney+ movies this week. I will end my subscription around Dec.19 a day after the last episode of The Mandalorian streams, so a few more shows need my attention as well.

Being a Doctor Who fan, I just finished watching the New Years Doctor Who special. It was very good and lays the groundwork for an interesting season which I think will start in the next couple of months.
