I asked for refunds on 2 GCs I had and wasn't using (merchants are obliged by law to refund the balance on GCs $5 or less here in Quebec). I collected $8.50 total

I used a .03 cent off every litre of gas at Shell card that we received from Sobey' s to save .99 on a tank of gas today.

We ate leftovers at home instead of eating on the road tonight.

We booked a room at a hotel using Price-line express and got a two queen bed- room with free breakfast (hot buffet) free parking - free internet- fridge- lovely bathroom for $47(US) plus tax. Just out of town in London. 15 million items to the hospital. It's the 3rd time we have stayed here under similar circumstances. They told us they couldn't match the price through the hotel.

Took a little roadtrip yesterday with my sweetheart and DS. Went for lunch at casino hotel using comps! (Free!!) Honey grabbed 4 free coffees in casino on way out to fill up our travellers (afternoon coffee free!) Stopped a few places on our travels and DS loved it! Was a great day out and about!
Came home and my honey made us a cold pasta salad (had everything on hand) and defrosted beef from freezer and made home made burgers. We ate dinner and have 5 patties in the fridge for leftovers so kids can have for lunch etc.

Reinvested in a new drying rack. (used Canadian tire money to pay for more then 1/2 of it!) So going forward no excuses for using the dryer!
Also- We found a great deal on steaks so redeemed PC pts to buy it and received bonus PC pts back. (sometimes we have a hard time using our points so I had to remind us that is what they are for!!) So money saved in the long run!

Double SCOP for DH today at $4.99 twice as I sent him to Foodland for the Mazola Oil that was on sale for $4.99. Two different kinds and two different receipts that rang up at $5.49 each. I wanted to get $1.50 back for each on C051 but instead DH did his first SCOP ever x 2. To think he used to be so embarrassed.

    saved money on travel
used Presto card and public transit to go from Durham Region to Pearson Airport.
this could cost as much as $90
with Presto card discounts and the new train from Union Station to the Airport, saved $60!!!

Cooked up a chunk of peameal on Sunday so that will be served with eggs/toast and clemintines for a quick before hockey dinner for DS tonight (no oven use on high time and no excuse to grab take out)

Did load of laundry last night and hung to dry this morning.

Brought my lunch and snacks to work today.

Tossed another load of laundry in the washer late last night and hung it to dry outside this morning!

Had to get DS out the door before 7am this morning so was smart and put a load of sheets in the washer at 6am and then hung them out to dry when I returned home! I am on a roll! Going to keep at the laundry this weekend and hang to dry.

Got lots of free wieners today thanks to the no frills sale Also got some free ready cooked bacon. DH really likes this kind and it will be nice in the summer to use instead of doing bacon in the oven like we normally do.

Also made homemade chinese food for dinner and it was amazing! Honey Sriracha chicken with steamed broccoli. Definitely cheaper then getting take out and better too!
