Natalka so happy Taffy is home.
The source had kobo gift cards. Youre right though the ereader cards depend on who or what company a persons tablet or ereader is associated with.

Back from hockey tournament and DS's team are the champions! Was a nail biter and went into sudden death and DS got the winning goal. So proud! Just about to dig into homemade pasta. I was a smart mama and made homemade sauce last night so as soon as we walked in the door I sent him up to soak in the tub and I started the water to make pasta. So worth the wait. Long day so doubt I will do anything but tidy the kitchen. Laundry is drying/ dried but not put away. We will live lol

Just absolutely amazed that Milan and our son were able to get her out of those few inches under the shed with a fishing net - popped her in a pillowcase and walked her home - put her in my arms!

So she needed and will need time - she's eating a bit, drinking, wants to be in the sun. She stinks to high heaven - but again, fixing that will come later.

Vader freaked - we were just separating her, putting her into the bedroom when Taffy ran in there to go under the bed - and Milan went to get Taffy and Vader went all Ninja on Milan, scratching him up pretty bad. Vader is just howling, but Taffy isn't even responding.

BUT, holding Taffy in my arms, her purring her special quiet purr - nothing beats that. She's making some funny sounds, but I imagine that may shift - whatever, we'll see.

Just extremely grateful that she is in the shape she is!
I've been crying buckets of happy tears, and am now giving Milan some snuggle time with her.
    happy news!!!

    @Natalka So glad Taffy`s home.

I don`t like cats but I sure would like to borrow one. I`ve been dealing with a mouse for the last week. Haven`t had one for 7 years but I still have nightmares about it. That time we had 43 by the time we got rid of them...they kept having babies. I have electronic thingies plugged in on all floors but for some reason one came in anyway. I think there is only one this time but it`s smart. Has snapped the trap twice but never gets caught. I wanted to get the poison I used last time but of course they`ve taken the good ones off the market. I`m keeping my fingers crossed that I can catch it before it gets in my yarn.Well off to set the trap again.

^ Congrats on the team for winning, and to your son for being a star!

Well, we gave Taffy a cursory bath, just to get the yuck out - had to cut some matted fur out, tried to comb some yuckies out - will have to do more at some point.
She is just SO weak - but she's eaten bits and pieces (I had her fave - chicken - ready), plus some dry food, and she frequents the water bowl. She just has to get strength back... she's not quite herself.

Vader goes to sniff her but then hisses and howls in the back of her throat - don't know where this is going to lead, I think it will take time since Vader's been the alpha here for so long with Taffy missing.
I don't know if she knows that's her Mom, or if she's mad at her?

But she's home, and that's all that counts.

Aw, so cute - as I'm typing this, my son in the next room sends me a FB pic: she got her fluff back but underneath it's pretty much just bones.

Oh, my, the fluffy fur is hiding everything - we just weighed her - she's only 4 pounds, down from 8.3 - yikes!

The snap traps didn't work for us this time, but the sticky paper did - maybe give that a try.

We did use them before. Didn`t want to make them suffer but I don`t care anymore. I`m going to get some tomorrow.
