Ashley, hoping all stays okay with your mom.
J&C - wow, you are in the midst of things pouring, not just drizzling! Hope you can make your way through it.
Son was supposed to work on our van today - that's moved to tomorrow, but he'll come for supper today anyway.
The good news here is that the sun is shining, and it should get to zero today!
Happy Caturday!

Gray skies and snowshowers on and off here. Agree that doing something indoors (crafting/baking/making) is a good one. The easier the day, the better the creativity! Now where is a cat to be found to curl up with and a good book?
Last night's visit to Fortinos-spotted two small cauliflowers on the reduced produce rack for $1.49-mine! Also 6 Bosc pears for same price. Made curried cauliflower with green olives. While poaching pears, I happened to cause a spice bottle to topple from the front of the lower shelf of overhead cupboard. Nice horizontal fall-spice bottle is fine despite hitting the wooden spoon on a plate. The plate shattered in all directions. Grateful I kept a community booklet nearby to wet and to gather up the shards (had recycled almost all of the last week's flyers). No one ventured into the kitchen during cleanup so I did not have to warn about where not to step.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

We had the exact same issue with the outside wall in our bedroom....outside walls probably not insulated enough in our case. We were able to clean the patches of mold using borax and then also vinegar (or the other way around). In any case, we looked on the internet and found information on this. We let it sit for a few months - the mold never came back or spread. Then, when my hubby was laid off work for a time, he repainted using a paint that resists mold. Never a problem after that, but I did make sure that there was enough air flow between that wall and any furniture. You just don't want stuff touching the walls. Someone mentioned that a dehumidifier may be good for rooms that are prone to be damper but we never did buy one.

Car suddenly making noise yesterday so I called the garage where my son works and they said to bring it in right away and they would take a look at it. Turns out a bum wheel bearing that was put in a year ago - thankfully, under warranty and no charge to us....yeah! They are such a great place - very honest!

@SassyAshley Good to hear your mom is ok. Hope you don`t have to frog today while crocheting. lol
@jasperandchar Mold really sucks big time. Good thing you found it before it got too bad. Vehicles are a necessary evil when you live in the boonies but the repairs sure can get costly.

@momof5boys thanks for the tips
@coupon girl I hope this means you are feeling a little better, take it easy
The Bedroom is a cleaned and furniture all moved around in the new locations actually makes the room look bigger (shrug)
The dogs are now on the proper flea meds I don't remember if I posted about this or not. I called because there was still a problem. Apparently the meds they gave us only kill the fleas that bite the dogs, what a bunch of stupid assess at the vet clinic. So dh picked the new meds on Wednesday evening that kills all stages but the cocooned (which nothing will kill). Also this new medication makes the babies sterile (so no more population). Anyways the meds seem to already be working much better than the last dose. So hopefully we will put the Christmas tree up in early December to catch all stages of the flea cycle. This is much later than we normally decorate but I just can't foresee cleaning like we could without all that stuff in the way.
Take care everyone.2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Sigh, no... it was three weeks as of Friday. With the really frigid weather we had this week, it was very worrisome if she were outside somewhere.
I keep dreaming about her.... it's nuts. Missing her terribly - we all do.
Just taking a break now that supper's in the oven. The men are talking cars, so I can take a tour on the net to see what I've missed all day, lol!
Have a great evening, everyone!

So..last week got my start date and gave final notice as my replacement started on the 9th. My last day was supposed to be the 20th but due to bf going in for his cast and being told he needed surgery with medical escort....we flew to Yellowknife Friday morning. We go home Sunday evening....hotel was paid for by his medical insurance and we will be receiving reimbursement for all meals taxis and incidentals once we drop off the paperwork. He's to be off work between 3 to 4 months. He cant drive for a while either. Thankfully we found someone to take the pups for the weekend.
He's stressing re money but at least I start the new job on Wednesday and its higher pay than I had. He has to do ei until long-term disability kicks in.
I've been knitting small projects at the hospital and hotel. Glad I didn't book a craft table for Friday....it will now be the 5th.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes, she seems to be doing good now. Although not sure if it is because how she was feeling or just not paying attention but seems to forget a lot of what the doc told her. She still has some paid but the doc said she would and take advil which has not been taking, I am going to take that as a good sign that the pain isn't that bad.
All and all when all was said and done I was up over 19 hours yesterday. I did not go back to bed when we got home as it just under an hour until our locations would open and if there was an issue I knew I would get a call. I had been planning and afternoon nap but no one could finish the wedding cake Mom was working on when she got sick so she had to get it done and guess who got to help. I must say cake decorating is so not for me but we got it done. By then it was too late for a nap so I stayed up.
We ordered dinner last night Chinese, there was no way either of us was up to cooking not to mention our kitchen was a disaster and again just no ambition to clean it up last night. In the end well worth the money.
I did manage to get the mermaid blanket down and the elephant is almost done, all the pieces have been made just need to sew together and add some finishing touches. All and all even with the chaos I am feeling in a much better position crochet wise.
I have some work stuff I need to get done but thinking it can wait until tomorrow and hopefully I can find time during the day to get it done if not I will do tomorrow night after work. I am seeing so much at home I would still like to get done even though today is now almost over.
Have a great day everyone off to tidy up a bit and get ready for the week ahead.

Nancy the mold issue sucks, I know we had this issue in our old house but to be honest I have no idea how they took care of it. My Nanny did it and whatever they did work as it never came back.
As for when it rains it pours I so feel that, felt like we were finally getting ahead and now our dishwasher is making horrible noises and I am worried it is going to go on us. I know a dishwasher is not a must have and some do not have one but I view it as a must have in our lives. It has always been one of those things it is worth the cost for us.
Just seems like every time $$$ wise we start to get ahead something else comes up.
