Ok I put an ad on our community website asking if anyone wanted to trade coupons, such as Huggies for Pampers ets. and also if there was anyone that gets inserts or coupons they dont use I would be happy to pick them u. I mentioned that I am a mom to 6 and on a tight budget. Here is one reply I got:
Not to rain on your parade, but I am a father of 8 and 9 on the way and if your buying hugies then you are living fairly well. Try using cloth diapers and for the days away from home when pampers are needed use the cheapest you can get at wall mart and it's still cheaper than hugies on sale or with a coupon.
WOuld you reply to this or just leve it be. I kinda just want to justify that with coupons Huggies and Pampers can be cheaper and they are better then cheap brands thta leak.

Ok first the guy is a jerk... second let it be... there are loonies out there and if he is spouting off like that he could very well be one of them... and please take someone with you when you do go to pick up coupons for safety.

not a jerk, just merely uneducated in our ways. there was a time when I didn't think things were as cheap as they could be. He probably knows not of stacking and sounds like he could use a friendly education.
gone shopping!

Cloth diapering is freakin expensive to get started on. While yes, maybe in the long run, you could cloth diaper your way to less $ spent than by buying diapers, do you really wanna scrub poop out of diapers before you wash them? Yuck. I wouldn't, personally, and you might not either.
I'd personally write a response telling him thanks for his input, but with coupons huggies are just as affordable as no-name brands, even cheaper often, than those no-name brands. I'd also let him know that until he has couponed the way you have, to please not jump to conclusions, because there is no way he can know exactly how cheap they can get if you do it right.
Or just ignore him, he sounds kinda rude and slightly ignorant.

some brands might seems cheaper but, they are too good leakers to afford them.... so, in the long run they are more pricy

Just go back and say she forgot to give the coupons to the cashier and ask if you can have an adjustment (meaning the CS desk just rings in the value of the coupons and you show them the receipt to prove you bought the right items, and they give you the $ value back), or ask her to do it. They've done it for me once before when a cashier missed one.

Nah, just let it be...
We used cloth - not just because it was cheaper than disposables, but because it was better for baby. Our philosophy - but we never, ever forced our opinions on others.

I wouldn't bother replying.
Parenting isn't a competive sport. You do what you think is best for your family and ignore any-one else's opinion.

If it's just to get the last word in, then no don't bother it's not worth it.
However, if you truly would like to help him get the deals that you do then write him back in a friendly tone teaching him how he too could get them a lot cheaper.

It's not worth your effort to even bother replying; he obviously believes he has all the answers.
You do not have to explain, or justify your choices for your family. He can shove his opinions where the sun doesn't shine.

I agree I just ignore people who think they know everything and have the right to tell you "how it is".
I've had a few people email me from kijiji posts and I just ignore the stupid ones. One person was so rude. I put an ad looking for a car that's etest and certified for under $2000 a few years ago. Some guy emailed to say that I was an idiot for asking and that I'd never get any responses and that everyone would want that deal. I wanted to reply saying we actually did find a nice 2nd vehicle (for DH) for under that price but it wasn't worth it. I just ignored the emailed and laughed to myself at his ignorance. It never hurts to ask!

Some people are abominably rude. I would just ignore this guy, seems like he has too much time on his hands to be sending such a message.

People that THINK they no it all really annoy me. I would respond and I see you live in Manitoba so you have LD. I would advise him that your huggies are FREE when you put coupons together, and tell him you're sorry to rain on his parade, but FREE is cheaper that purchasing clothe diapers, the cost of hot, hot water to wash the diapers and so on. I know, better not to respond but these people really *&^^ me off.

Wouldn't bother replying -actions speak louder than words. When I get emails from morons on kijiji they just promptly get sent to my trash bin.
For the record, I've used both cloth and diapers, they both have their own pluses and minuses. You have to make your own choice of what is best for you.
