The site worked for me for filling out the form, you might want to try again. However, if you want a list of the companies, that is not working at all.

My question is, why does it say that is is good for 3 years? Why not indefinitely? Anyone know?

    Here is the website: www.LNNTE-DNCL.gc.ca

Registration starts tomorrow, so make sure to check the site then to add your name.

Edit: Here's an article about it from MSN

    Confirmation Required

    Please correct the following errors:
    • We are experiencing a temporary technical problem. Please call one of the numbers below for registration, or try again later.

...you can call the National DNCL Service Line to register your number by phone at 1-866-580-DNCL (1-866-580-3625) or by TTY at 1-888-DNCL TTY (1-888-362-5889). You must be calling from the number you wish to register

This is from their website after I put in my phone number. A confirmation code did not appear but this stuff did.

    Too many hits I guess.

Well it looks like they won't prevent anyone who you have had any dealings with in the past from calling you. So your bank, your car dealership, your telephone company, your cable company, those clothing soliciters you have donated to before, any charity you have donated to....etc will all STILL be able to call. I don't know about anyone else, but the majority of the calls I get are from these companies.

So I don't know how good this will be for me. I will register although I am seriously considering getting rid of my home phone anyway. Everyone in my family own cellphones and the extra bill just to recieve the occasional home phone call from my mom simply is not worth the $65.
