It's actually morning so Top Of The Mornin To ya!
I know, St Pat's was yesterday. Last night I got to really enjoy pretending to be Irish while making a dinner of corned beef 'n cabbage,
smashed spuds, roasted carrots, fresh kiwi and baby cucumber slices ( just needed something green ). For dessert there was an option.
A slice of a 7 Ingredient Key Lime Pie/whipped cream or some Orange Carrot Bundt Cake with green icing. All went down delightfully and
NONE of us hurt ourselves. One plate of food and a small serving of dessert...which for us was showing restraint!
Sorry that it's Monday again.

@walkonby, I showed Hubby your cartoon…yes, we got it…😅 I’m afraid we share the same sense of humour….not much! Hahahaha!

Oh, I really wanted to make corned beef and cabbage, colcannon, but the 3 boys were on the island in a cute rented cabin for the weekend playing their guitars, sitting by the fire sipping excellent scotch…not our GS of course…while OMG our DD was here for the weekend being absolutely ruthless at divesting me of just about ALL of my fabrics and all of my trims and laces! 6 green garbage bags full! Yes. They were all folded or hung on hangers in ohhh…3 closets….and today Hubby gave it to a very grateful pet save retail store! It’s really something and helped build a new, modern, no-kill adoption centre here!
I thought I’d miss all that lovely fashion fabric, but it’s quite the opposite! I feel a sort- of relief from the pressure of actually having to USE it! Our closets our home are immaculate, not a thing in sight that isn’t necessary…I’ve always hated chatchki anyway…and it’s lovely, airy! She worked like a demon on Saturday, tossing, organizing, vacuuming…her 47th birthday is on a Friday and she’ll be suitably spoiled!

So yes, @ walkonby, a Monday, but simply another day of rest.

Busy busy bee this morning for me. Physio at 8, then topped up the gas tank, then hit my old breakfast haunt for a decadent eggs benedict platter with spinach, smoked salmon & tomato on the English muffin, topped with 3 soft poached eggs, covered in Hollandaise! Coffee refill? why yes! It's been more than a year since I've had that dish. Mmmm.

Good morning gals. Thought I'd check the flyers section for new sales on here but first a quick stop to the chat room.
There will be no belly aching about that Leaf game last night from me. I totally expected they would lose as we're down
more than a few important guys atm. Racking my brain right now trying to come up with something to make for the guys
work meal for Thursday. The same old, same old recipes are delicious but can sometimes be boring for the cook to make.
More Google searching needed. ta ta for now.
