Happy Thanksgiving, @GoJays !!
Oh, for sure I'll 'threaten' them with that call to head office! Not the first time I'd have pulled that off. They're usually great at our Michaels though, plus they all know me so well there. I'm not sure they do this for others, but if I forget my coupons, they just pull one out of the drawer or whatever, scan it and give me the discount anyway...at least for the normal ones. That 55% off was in my email and naturally I print out a bunch and take Hubby who goes through the line with whatever I wanted and uses it, too. Theeeeeenn, perhaps I return later that day and snag a couple more deals. It's a big saving on paint brushes, paints, etc and even if I need a spool of thread, lol, it's a bargain!
It's nice to have that big dinner overwith, isn't it? The kids love the 2 days of r&r they are having before work/school tomorrow.
Hm. Bbq burgers sound good today, and it's a gorgeous sunny day, too, but no buns (although a trip to a corner store would solve that)..might be tempting!
Oh, my gosh...that little duckling!!! I'm feeling the same; we're all planning to go to Disneyworld in early spring for our 50th anniversary (yes, we'd love to celebrate with the family)...it'll all depend on how I feel. I did well in NY, but it was exhausting, and Disney would be worse for me. We'll stay on site, so I'll be able to take an afternoon nap just to get off my feet and rest my back, but DD thinks it's unfair to her Daddy to be removed from the fun while I nap, lol....Thing is, we all don't have to be tied together; they can go where they want, we can be together or not, separate, meet up for dinner...a week is a long time to get everything done. Time will tell.....
Enjoy your day in spite of the laundry, Jays!!

@GoJays - my Vader kitty is a menace like that, too. I have been using a walker for two years, and it's like she "forgets"how much it hurts when I accidentally run over her tail...
Just realized what the date is - my parents were married 74 years ago.

Well, my life is nothing but unpredictable. My BrotherB was so sick that he cancelled our family get together today. So they had the turkey dinner and I roasted the prime rib for BrotherR and I and also my friend from Cambridge. But I overcooked everything - My Brother R did well navigating here and using the washroom. He let it slip, however, that he was going to "The Y" tomorrow to go swimming. I think I talked him out of going until someone can go with him. Can you imagine him trying to navigate the slippery tiles around the pool? He's going to drive me crazy!
The hospital in Chatham has called his family to come as his situation has deteriorated. I have done all the weddings and funerals for this family, so, I may be called upon in the next couple of weeks when they figure out the timing.
Well, I have to clean up after our dinner.
See ya!

Hang on, @avoncallingu ...did you mean to say that Brother B cancelled dinner?
What did you overlook?
I'm not getting the hospital Chatham reference to "his" family, although I do recall someone being critically I'll. Do you feel you'll be called upon to perform the memorial ceremony?
I can't remember if I sent you the memorial ceremony I performed in Picketing for my late Bff, Janet..if not I can send it to you.
Is your email still pooched?

Good fine morning, everyone!!
I hope everyone had a great holiday, short as it may have been, and that it's sunny in your part of the world, too!
Not much going on, I just prepared Jenny's food for the week (she does supplement with her kibble), I have to make an appt at the Health Unit for our flu shots, I called Michaels, nope, won't honour the 55% off coupons, but they do have 50% off coupons today, so fine, I won't worry about 5%, and will wander in later, and I want to cut and start sewing a sweet little gathered half apron from fabric I've been hoarding like gold for over a year. It's almost too pretty to use! Haha!! But, I have lots like that.I love sewing all sorts of aprons, but never use them; maybe I'll post a couple somewhere to see if I can get rid of a few.
So!! Onward with the day!! Have a happy one, everyone!
