Since taking one each evening, they've stopped completely. Might help? Of course new sneaks probably would, too.

I hope you like the Red River cereal...this is on my next grocery list, too, now that I'm craving it! hahaha!!

Take care and keep up the great work!!
Haha! The "big mama" isn't that I am big lol. When kids were young their Dad would call me "Big Mama" because I was the boss and they still call me that now lol

Hahahaha wrt the "big mama"!!! Love it!!!!

    I hope the magnesium helps!

I tried a new recipe I found on Pinterest: banana pancakes: 2 small or 1 large banana, 1 egg, baking powder, blend well (I used my stick blender). Meh. For all the mess it made both making, frying and eating, I'll stick to my banana egg nog.

Toasted tomato sandwich for lunch, not sure about dinner, yet, we'd better think of something quick to take out of the freezer!

    Have a great day, FBM!!!

    OOoooo, this bothers me!!

We just enjoyed some poached (from frozen) haddock for dinner. I thought I'd take a look at the package so that we could purchase it again.
    Here's what I found:

    Wild caught in Norway.
    Produce of CHINA.
Packed by Northern Fisheries, Ltd, Road Island.

So disappointed. Now I'm not averse to some product from China, but nothing I'd eat or put on my body. I checked their website and oh-la-la, those haddock, caught in pristine northern oceans off Canada, Norway and the UK are produced in CHINA! Not a fan. So we'll stick with M&M haccock. Now that I think of it...I wonder who actually produces it for them. Maybe it's time to re-visit our local fish markets. If even they can be trusted.

For myself, most dairy is a nasty thing period ( lactose intolerant ) and I have tried various substitutes looking to find a way to a cold dessert BUT there is always tons of extra sugar added so I stopped trying.

That fellow seems to have gotten himself in a bit of a tizzy over people's comments. I had no difficulty understanding the difference in the labeling of a product as a frozen dessert and labeling something as ice cream because " I read labels " and I realize they are different products. I would not assume that everything in the store freezers are ice cream??

Anyhow, the last bunch of cheap tubs of ice cream ( or were they frozen desserts? lol ) I bought for the gang here were gobbled up so darn fast and they all seem just fine....lol.
Comes down to a personal choice , one can always make their own homemade pure ice cream to be safe I guess?

Agreed. However, it's not just a matter of it not being quality ice-cream, it's that it has SO MUCH guar gum and other stuff, that it makes it less ice-cream than frozen guar gum.

Still have more research to do and yes, not being a connoiseur of ice-cream I'd probably only be able to tell the difference if I had a real ice cream and that stuff together in front of me.

I hate the thought of a fish whose passport has travelled a longer distance than I have!

Plus, it's transported in a frozen state, thawed, cleaned and re-frozen! Yes, it happens to salmon, also. It's supposed to be "ok" when done by manufacturers, just not by us neglegent housewives!!

Ok, I finally took the plunge and weighed myself....I mentally prepared myself for a 1lb loss even though I was feeling so much better...I'm down 9.1lbs!!!! Woohoo!!!!

Now I'm happy that I weighed myself in spite of my fears.

    So....onward, and downward!!!

What a pleasant and thrilling surprise @Lynn49 !!! That first reality weigh in when we start a diet is so scary, especially when you know you've been super good and avoided eating the bad but tempting foods.
Keep going! I'll join you soon.

    Sometimes I just hate MyFitnessPal.
SO many calories in one homemade 6oz beef burger patty!
Needless to say: but I'll say it anyway: I'm off beef. Or at least...burger patties.

What did you find out about that fish, @Frugalbigmama??

I don't know why it makes me so skittish, probably the freeze/thaw stuff, but if I have a choice, I'd rather all my fish was caught/processed in just about any North American or European country.

I had a really horrible thing happen to me from a product made in China, so I don't trust anything edible, or anything I can put on my body.

TGIF! Cold cold here today. Think I will do running around on my lunch break today since I can go to the gym before DS's hockey game tonight. He has to be at the arena an hour before the game and the gym is right beside it so it makes sense to go then. (it's free kids night and will be crazy busy with kids running around but I'm not going to let that stop me)

I haven't had a coffee all week but decided to grab one on the way to work today for a treat and a warm up! It finally tastes ok. (usually taste so weak and like crap lol) I was tempted to get a muffin since I had a coupon for .99 cents lol but reminded myself the sugar and calories and decided I would be satisfied with my cream of wheat and banana Yeah me for making the right decision.

Good day! I was good and went to gym last night. Then when we got home from hockey shoveled the driveway for more excercise. It's amazing once your stamina is back how you keep wanting to go. I love it!
