Immac, note I am NOT saying it was your fault.
They brought in the two step verification after a whole bunch of people had their points stolen.
I haven't done my account, but I don't have too many points, so I wasn't in a hurry to do so once they brought it out.
Again, fingers crossed that they track down who did this, and your points are reinstated.Last edited by Natalka; Sun, Oct 28th, 2018 at 09:40 PM.

I'm sorry this happened to you. They can request video from the store where the purchases were made, they've done it to ID some people who were using fraudulent gift cards. I had a problem several years ago.
They are having a serious issue with security and seem to be giving people back their points, its just really annoying in the meantime. The two step process can be helpful to some degree but people need to change their email as well especially if they used the same password for their email as they did for their PCO account. A surprisingly large number of people use the same password across all of their accounts.Be sure to click like and post a brag if you get the deal.. It makes my day!!! Flattery may just get you more deals
Be sure to double check your flyer, points and cashback offers~ YMMV

I have seen some reports where it took a bit of time for PCO to replace people's points, so it's more a matter of when you will get them, not if.
You can also do a couple of things to help reduce the chance it will happen again. One is enabling two-step verification. Another is to set all your devices (card, key tag, phone, etc.) to earn-only mode. This feature was recently added on the website only. Personally, I set mine so I can only redeem using one device, but if I were saving up my points and thus had no plans to redeem, I'd set that one to earn-only too.

oh @immac2947 what a pita! I JUST did the 2 step verification thing like others have. I might look into the " save points only " option next. Gotta protect the points!
Hope you hear back from them soon and get those points back.

what i don't understand is these thefts are not reported to police and charges laid. you have an EXACT time of purchase, cameras here there and everywhere in store.. and you can take a photo of these people and put them up at every shoppers drug mart and send to law enforcement. that would discourage those thefts very quickly.
theft is theft. even if it is just "points".
two step verifications is your best friend!!!
