I went to the local university bookstore to pick something up. There’s a connecting underground tunnel from the metro I wanted to use since it was slushy and slippery outside. There are multiple tunnels and I couldn’t find the right one so I asked a young woman who said she would show me and walked with me all the way to the bookstore. I asked if she was going that way anyway and she said no - it was just easier to show me than to explain. What a sweet thing she did for me.

I've heard good things about her Netflix series. I bought her book - The Magic of Tidying Up - a few years ago and started doing her system then had a life interruption. I had done my clothes and my closet is still in pretty good shape but my t-shirt drawer has gotten crowded and messy Planning to get back to it but - this is true - I misplaced the book!

I'm been trying for weeks to get a jacket I wanted from Old Navy's online store (not available in store). It's been OOS but finally there was inventory but very limited. They would only let me put 1 in my cart and just before I went to checkout, they showed OOS again. I wasn't sure I would receive it but I did! Very happy

I found an HBC GC stuck between two other cards in my GC stash. It’s one of those thin, flexible plastic GCs. It had an HBC receipt wrapped around it that is all but faded with a May 2017 date but I have no memory of this card at all. I passed by The Bay and asked a cashier to scan it. Turns out the GC has a balance of $42+ on it! I see a Bay shopping in my future

this.....
On Thurs. early in the a.m. Rufus had bounded out to the backyard. He had been whining non stop to go out so I relented forgetting that their was a good 4 feet of freshly fallen fluffy snow out there.
He hopped his way down 2 deck levels, was now up to his neck ( Shih Tzu short legs! ) and because of his blindness he could not figure out how to get back up to me at the door.
I quickly donned my DS's size 14 knee high thick rubber boots, grabbed my coat and mitts and went on a rescue mission.
Naturally Murphy had enough sense NOT to go down there, no instead he chose to bark non stop on the top deck level ....his way of telling me Rufus was " stuck in the well? " ha ha
I scoop up Rufus and on the way back up I do the best Funny Home Video pratfall ever! Straight up and smashed down on my tushie! Rufus was cradled into my chest on impact, but wriggled free and found his way up to the back door.
I laughed at my situation, muttered a few words and then got up, took 2 more steps and fell again!
o.k. so now I realized it's not me OR the boots....there was tons of ice under all that snow.
At this point Murphy is still barking, which I am sure our neighbours all appreciated at that early hour.
Once up at the door, the thing would not slide open. I tried not to panic.
Removed my mitten, grabbed the handle firmly and gave a heave of a pull only to fall one more time!
Both boots were filled with snow ( of course I had no socks on ) ....I laughed so much....felt like a kid again.

I found a *missing* brooch and ring that I had been looking for for several months. Turns out I had tucked them away in a never used cosmetics case and forgotten about it
