Need "New Job" good vibes...please...Update: Got the job!!

I really, really need some good vibes.

I had a run of bad luck. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, had surgery, went through treatment and then shattered my knee which took two more surgeries to fix. I was unable to work for more than a year.

I think I am ready to head back to work. I am still doing physio 2x a week and I have issues with bending but we need for me to have an income again.

I have been stalking the job ads for a week and I have put a couple of resumes in. Yesterday, I came across an ad and applied for a job that I am really hoping to get. It has absolutely nothing to do with my education(Social Work) and the pay, honestly, kind of stinks but, I have a child with Down's Syndrome and her school hours are not the same as my other two kids. She gets picked up on the bus at 920AM and is home by 3PM. It makes it difficult. This job would allow me to go to work at 10AM and be home by 6PM. No evenings, no weekends. My oldest daughter has a spare last slot so she will be home in time to get her sister off the bus. We were going to be looking at 500.00+ for daycare a month if I got a job that needed it so if you count that as part of my wages, the job pays well. Plus, it is close enough I can walk to and from work so there is money saved there too!!

I *need* this job.

The ad said only to apply via email. Should I follow up and call the hiring manager?

I have never been turned down for a job once I have gotten an interview(even though I HATE interviews) so I am just hoping for a call.
