I have noticed most of our stores have lifted the limits but I am not sure if it is a good or bad thing as the shelves are quite bare and it is hit or miss if they will have what your looking for. I rarely go into stores but Mom went a couple weeks ago and only got about half of what was on our list and they were just every day general items. Also noticed when we were at Walmart when I went to try to get Almond Milk (they had none) there were a lot of empty shelves in the dairy section.

I think September could get interesting for a lot of people. I was reading some articles last night and I do not know how parents will do. I know around here due to the new Covid precautions which I fully understand we now seriously lack Daycare spots and people are getting desperate to find any sort of Childcare as they are being called back to work. I cannot imagine come September if kids are not back in school full time which it looks like they won't be.
The other day when I went to No Frills they had a note on the door saying they were sold out of many milk products etc and that shipment was delayed etc.

We have had an old non-working lawnmower in the garage for years. Someone was suppose to take it for months (for free)
My youngest DS spent less then 30 mins on it and fixed it! He is out in the backyard with the hose cleaning it all up.
I told him to sell it and keep the money! Geez I am so impressed!

Okay fairly good day here workwise, I got everything on my to do list done plus a couple more pop up daily tasks I needed to get done. I sent off my "plan" for approval although I may not hear back for a couple of days as my boss is away.

Didn't really get much done around the house as it is just too hot. The moment you walk away from the fan it is hot and today the humidity is giving me a hard time with my chest.

I tried to put off grocery shopping an although we could put it off till the end of the week maybe even early next week since there is no end in sight to the heat, we might as well just get it done. Tonight I need to come up with a list of what we need so tomorrow once work is done we can go. I still really really really want to try to come in under budget is possible. I would like to build a bit more of an emergency funds for groceries just in case. Although I did forget to factor in that one shopping trip Mom did give me money so that helps a bit.

I am still torn about shopping, I really want to focus on coming in under budget but not sure if we should keep stocking up just incase. I feel like the potential of a second wave is always hanging over us. I don't want to live in fear but how quickly the first wave hit sticks in my mind, we went from prepare to shutting things down and I would like to be prepared.

Mom decided around 5 pm she needed to do laundry so she has done laundry, just need to fold it.

Alright off to fold laundry and plan my grocery shopping.

    Have a great night everyone.

    Good Morning!

I have a load in the washer and will hang it out to dry.

I took chicken breasts out of the freezer to thaw (paid $1.94 kg!!!) and will bbq later. I am cooking up sides now and then will clean up the kitchen. We will also have ceaser salad with dinner since we have lots of romaine to use up.

I wrote out a list of house chores I want to get done today on my breaks. Goal is to get the entire list done. Most things are not the regular everyday things. Just stuff needed to be done and never get to it! (curtains that need to be put up etc)

I also need to clean up my work space. That is my chore after lunch. Go thru all my work stuff and sort it.

I have a tall plastic bin cart that has housed school supplies for the kids. That is on my list to clean out. So many new packages of crayons, pencil crayons etc. Will keep what DS should need the next few years then sort the rest to give away/sell. I also have uniform pieces of DS to sell. (money to put towards new uniform shorts as that is all he needs)

I may post some things for sale later after my cleaning but thinking it is to hot out for people to worry about pick ups so its not number 1 on my list today.

Ok I should get rolling as I have a busy day ahead of me! Stay cool my friends!

Greetings. It's July so the time of my annual relocation to my country house has finally come. Unfortunately, I found my windows broken, so I'm going to buy new German windows right there, they are highly reliable and has proven their decency and quality lots of times.

    Good afternoon!

Put away half the clean laundry. Will take the rest upstairs next. Have the chicken cooking slowly on the BBQ. Figure get it done and ready for DS when he get home from his friends cottage. He works tonight so will make him a quick chicken ceaser salad for an early dinner.

As I started typing this it started to rain so I had to jump quick and grab the rest of the laundry outside! Thank gosh I noticed it!!!

Kitchen is clean. I ran the dishwasher this afternoon. Will empty it when i am getting DS's dinner ready.

I am starting to clean my work space. I need all the stuff for sale organized better. Will see what I can get done now.

Always good dropping in here. I have been finally cleaning out boxes and boxes of paperwork from way back when. I was always worried about throwing things out that I would need for taxes or my Social Security battle but now, everything has been sorted out and I can purge. It's a boring job -just made for a pandemic and tortuously hot weather.

I have perfectly good packing boxes but no one seems to need them. Our apartment building is now full except a gentleman passed away last week. Even his family who are cleaning out his apartment says they don't need them.

I may donate them to the Mennonite Thrift store.

I'm cooking my own meals since our meal service is closed due to the pandemic. I'm not the best cook! I have thawed out a chicken breast and will cook some rice and cover with cream of mushroom soup and add some veggies. Ho hum !

    Stay safe and cool, friends!

Received DS's report card in the mail today. Proud mom here!!!!!! Grade 10. 95 in Math was his best mark and the others followed closely behind. I texted it to him since he was swimming with his friends. His reply "WOW. I did good" haha. Nice English son!

I am doing nothing all night till i have to go pick up DS st work.
I had an amazing day at work ? Got so much done and cleaned up/organized but now have a slight headache. Probably weather related. Thinking a popsicle will help .
    Netflix time for me

@avoncallingu Hi hi hi hi! So nice when you check in! I think you were the first person to ever send me a card on the card exchange and I just loved that! Drew me into the real community that is here as we ebb and flow through life!!!
@Frugalbigmama Congrats on the good math report for your son!!! My children did as expected so I am proud. And DD with Autism did better in learning skills than normal and a few B- so I am proud! My other is straight As and excellent except for cooperation with others, lol.

Got a COVID test today in hopes of visiting my grandparents in LTC. Ummmmmm, guys, it hurt!!! My nose still hurts after almost 10 hours!!! It was like a pap test on my nose!!! Hopefully the weather tones down...no seniors outside for visits in this heat. So I hope my test was not in vain!!!
