I still have a lot of green cherry tomatoes on some plants in my garden. I've been picking ones that are a lighter green and ripening them in a bowl by a sunny window.
DH and I have both finished paying off our cell phones on our plans. We've switched both to prepaid plans saving $35 on one plan and $30 on the other. That's a huge savings of $65 a month!
I also quit the gym during covid saving us $51 a month.
Next up, we're going to move our insurance locally and see if we can get better rates
Have a nice evening!

Good Evening Everyone,
I got the chance to leave work a little early today, although I knew I would need to work from home but hey felt like a fair trade off to me. So I ran into Costco after work, we did not need a lot but I wanted to get a few things for our Winter Pantry as I do find out eating habits do change a bit by the season. As always I got a little more than I had planned but it was some new products to my Costco and the price could not be passed up, I got:
1 x Chicken Breast (Not needed but we are eating more Chicken so I have started to always grab 1 package)
1 x Chicken Broth (I wanted 2 but this was literally the one I could find in the store, Mom might look later in the week for another case)
1 x Broccoli (What does it say about me that my impulse by was frozen vegetables? I got this on sale a couple months ago, it is amazing we love it and it comes in 4 steamer bags, we love it)
1 x Milk (Trying to keep 4 weeks worth in the freezer just in case so we will use this one now and not pull from the freezer)
1 x Half & Half (if needed we can use to make homemade sauces)
1 x Romaine (Yippee, they had in stock but it was hard to find a nice bag)
1 x Rotisserie Chicken (This was tonight's dinner with Salad and leftover Potatoes)
1 x Sour Cream (Price has gone down, cheaper than buying on sale)
4 x Restaurant size cans of Tomatoes (we will these to make out own Pasta Sauce, Pizza Sauce and various other items so we do not need to buy)
1 x Passata (Cheaper than buying on sale)
2 x Calcium Magnesium (Mom takes these daily and were on sale)
1 x Bacon Bits (Needed for our Pantry)
Now for my impulse buys (yes more than one), our Costco is selling a new line of Spices and they were so cheap, better deal than going to Bulk Barn so I got:
1 x Parsley
1 x Oregano
1 x Basil
1 x Cumin
Then I needed:
1 x Pink Salt
1 x Peppercorns (On sale)
1 x Italian Seasoning
1 x Onion Flakes
All and all I came in right on budget so I am happy although I just realized I should have looked for Chili Powder, oh well might have to buy that locally.
I now feel like we are stocked up and we just need to buy fresh stuff now. I feel like I have been buying a ton of groceries but it won't go bad and if need be come January and February we may not need to shop expect for some fresh items. I just really want to make sure we have what we need on hand just to be safe, maybe I am just justifying my anxiety going wild and worry about what might happen.
Mom will check for Cream Cheese tomorrow and Tomato Paste, both of which Costco did not have. Might also get her to grab a couple of Squash, they are a nice fall vegetable to have as a side dish or make into a soup.
Alright enough over thinking my trip today, I am happy with my shop. Off to finish a few things for work and then it is bedtime.
Have a great night everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Stayed at my moms last night, she is settling into the new apartment, so bright compared to the last one. She still can’t do much so my aunt has been busy helping her. She had a bunch of appointments today which is why I drove down. Arrived home just as DH put dinner on the table and I was starving so it was perfect timing. I also dropped another load off to Value Village for my mom. I don’t shop there so have a couple of the 20% off coupons. If anyone can use them let me know.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

We were just at VV yesterday. DH mentioned he wanted some long sleeve shirts. I could not believe the first one I picked up was 15.95-clearly we have not shopped for men's new dress shirts in a long time. My DH rarely buys clothes and we ended up with 3 shirts for $31 for work-next time we will try for seniors Tuesday.

I just finished checking the news flyers(no gt and wm yet) and only a few good deals to make ....I want to make a fondue to pass the 3 packages I have because they are 3 for 10$ at maxi and cie, eggs 30 counts 4,77$ and others stores I see peachs and plums for 1,99$ lbs, grapes for 0,99$ lbs and ground beef at 2,89$ lbs I think (super c and provigo) and english cucumber...so that will be a small shop this upcoming week..Last edited by cath007; Tue, Oct 6th, 2020 at 05:33 AM.
