A huge congrats! @ barbis9. (I just started back with them...we're still working out some router quirks ). It's a great way to show manufacturers that WE DO BUY BASED ON COUPONS AND SALES. Congrats again!

    Congrats Barbis9 on the win.

Halloween plans cancelled. My BIL tested positive for COVID (no symptoms). He gets a test every two weeks as he works in administration in LTC.

They were our bubble. Saw them last Sat. Contact traced to Sun so we don’t have to isolate or test, just self-monitor (public health). Hopefully he stays well.

Dropped treat bags for my niece and nephew on porch with a new Lego set each. They were devastated they couldn't come over anymore for some Halloween time with cousins and have to isolate for 14 days:

We will lay low until Monday.

Took my vehicle in for an oil change and asked them to check the brakes because they are grinding. Yup need new brakes so that’s going to be expensive but since the dealer said brakes last for about 70000 km and I am at 145000 I can’t complain. I will pick up in the morning. Other than that not sure what’s on for the weekend. Tonight we watched the 1987 version of The Untouchables. Still awesome now.

Happy Halloween everyone. Be safe if you are going out and also if you are handing out treats. I will not be giving out treats this year.

Will be doing some baking later since my younger DD asked for some bake treats for Halloween.

Good morning! We had frost on the ground this morning but it is beautiful outside. I went out on a strategized shopping trip yesterday. I used a few coupons that were just about to expire.
I quickly dropped into Metro for the .99 cent Oreos. I don't know if it's just me but they're prices overall seem to be climbing. I tend to be shopping more at Frescho for groceries and then Independent grocers for some cuts of meat. Freschco makes it so easy to price match. I leave there feeling happy and proud.
Speaking of price matching, I'll have to check out Home Depot this fall/winter. I usually to price match Alaskan ice melter to save an extra 10%.
    Have a wonderful day!

    Good Morning Everyone,
I got some happy news this yesterday, this week I get to go back to being me, granted being me will mean floating between 4 branches and helping where I can but it will also give me time to work on my own projects which makes me super happy.

I think this Blue Moon has been messing with my sleep, I have not felt well rested all week even though I have been sleeping. Last night I slept through the night but woke up wide awake at 4:30 this morning. I refused to get up at 4:30 on a Saturday so I stayed in bed and did fall back asleep but now I feel groggy.

I had been planning on getting some house stuff done first thing this morning but I think now I will get some work done instead, I am feeling super congested (my allergies seem to be on overdrive this year) and have a headache. Took some allergy pills and hoping the congestion will start to clear and maybe help this headache.

Think I might make a Triple Berry Ricotta Cake today, sounds yummy and I have everything on hand. Still need to figure out my Meal Prep for the week, I tried going to Pinterest for inspiration but so far I have come up with nothing. Maybe my cup of tea will being inspiration.

Happy Halloween everyone, hope everyone has a great day.

Good point about the moon! I've had a hard time sleeping too! I hope it's clear tonight, it's supposed to be quite the moon

Slept in. My honey made coffee and breakfast. Just had a shower and then we are off to Costco for a couple of toilets. Exciting stuff as an adult lol.

Nice and sunny out. Perfect day for a drive.

The principal of my cyber school threw a couple of big curve balls at the staff this week. I’m still trying to figure some of it out.

We are staying home, no trick-or-treating for us. I have some Halloween activities planned for our kids.

I’m hoping our bad weather decreases other people’s trick-or-treating. Currently -1, feels like -11. Wind 67km/hr, gusting to 98km/hr.
