March Frugal Chatter - Spring is Coming

I mended one kids shirt and 4 mittens this morning.

For lunch today I redeemed my 10” pizza win. I also bought two medium pizza from Dominos with a coupon. Leftovers are in the fridge.

Dh took a long nap this afternoon.

We had a quiet day at home. I just got back from a 50min walk by myself. I collected 4 cans for SARCAN. My interesting find is a nice reusable Sobeys grocery bag ($3 or so in store), that was in some bushes. It was clearly new looking, so I folded it up and brought it home in my pocket. There was other junk in the bushes at the edge of that yard.

We must have tired the kids out. Both twins fell to sleep early in the living room, well before 8pm.

We decided to order dinner tonight for the 1st time since December. I did pick up from a restaurant that gets great reviews and they did not disappoint. We all had leftovers even the 17 yr old son and it was so yummy. I picked up a few groceries and totally scored because I had 2 PCO Pork offers and Fortinos had tenderloin on sale so I stocked up and 40.00 of pork earned 12000 points.

got up early, took the dogs out... it is very very icy out there. hopefully today melts some.

today is going to be a housework kinda morning, and hopefully a relax kinda afternoon

Good morning everyone!!! I went to bed late and woke up earlier
-19 degres this morning,went on the balcony and boy it is cold hope it will be more warm by the day goes by
I stress about all of the cleaning I have to do ,but I have 2 weeks so that will be ok.
I had put the soft drink cans and bottle into a bag and in the spare storage bedroom...I forgot yesterday to bring those to the grocery and it is a big bag..
Supper is either a pizza or pastas rosee sauce.

Dad birthday today .I will talk to him at lunch time. It will be 1 week since he stop smoking He seems to handle it well.

Good Morning Everyone,
Up sort of early this morning, woke up a lot early than I got out of bed.

My bedding is in the dryer so will remake my bed shortly.

I have a batch of Slow Cooker Ground Turkey Chilli going right now, will be done around lunch time. I would like to also make a batch of Beef & Broccoli to put in the fridge but I will have to see how much fridge space we have. It feels lie our fridge is either overflowing or empty these days, right now it is overflowing. I do still need to make a batch of Cornbread to go with the Chilli.

Part of me wants to have a super productive day today, the other part of me wouldn't mind just taking today off and resting and relaxing so hopefully I can find some middle ground, get a few things done this morning and relax this afternoon.

Huh ....I dont know if it is a good news for us but trouble neigbour is moving...I heart a conversation with his ex girlfriend because they talked so loud....I just hope to not have another trouble neigbour...
and dont have inspection for the 2 remaining week dad is in hospital because I have a lot of cleaning to do ...that stress me

Dad called me and I wished him happy birthday !!!! He will recall after dinner!!!

I took the kids for a 1hr walk before supper. They picked a bag full of pine cones. I collected a bag full of items for SARCAN.

You've pointed out another excellent healthy way to help manage your weight and be a good example for your kids.

In the spring, I walk with a small plastic bag and pick up litter by the side of the road during my daily sojourn. I start with small bags and graduate to bigger garbage bags. The secret is to always squat down to pick up the garbage and not just bend over at the waist. An additional 50 squats for small bags and 400+ for filling garbage bags really makes the effort felt in my thighs the next day. No one can fix the world, but one can always change it one little piece of garbage at a time.

You can feel good for doing something environmentally friendly, get a workout, and set a great example for the community, all in the same act. Kind motorists passing by have even expressed their good wishes and thanks from their car.

New update-my son called they think cara had a bladder infection (not sure thou) as they gave her strong antibiotics thursday night and it may have cleared the infection .They still dont know why she had a fever for the 9 days .

Her fever is low grade now .
She may be getting out today if the doctors sign off -yipeee
Also the kidney specialist still wants to see her in 6 weeks -a follow up.
